Anand Mahindra Praises IIT Madras’ Innovation -

ePlane company developed a two-seater aircraft with the name ePlane e200. Its 200 kmph travel range makes it ideal for intra-city commute and cargo transportation. The company promises to reduce travel time and avoid urban traffic by using this ePlace, an electrifying taxi. Its cruise speed is noted at 160 kmph and a top speed of 200 kmph.

 

The managing director of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra has unveiled images of  India’s First Electrifying taxi Prototype, ePlane e200. This is a sign of important advancement in India’s journey towards electric air mobility. This First Electrifying taxi Prototype is developed by ePlane Company, an initiative at the Indian Institute of Madras, (IIT) Madras. This is all set to be in operation by the next year to gear up the innovative transportation solutions in the country.

Mahindra Appreciated the IIT Madras -

Mahindra stated Indian Institute of Madras, (IIT) Madras as a commendable role in innovation. He said, “IIT Madras has become one of the world’s most exciting and active incubators”. Also, he added, “Thank to them and the rapidly growing number of ambitious incubators throughout India, we’re no longer seen as a country that lacks genuine innovators”. This innovation makes a reparable image globally as a hub of cutting-edge technology and innovation.

The ePlane e200, a short view –

It is a two-seater aircraft proudly developed by the ePlane Company. It challenges for 200-kilometre travel which makes it perfect for intra-city travel and cargo transportation. Having a speed of 160 Kmph and a top speed of 200 Kmph, this mind-blowing ePlane e200 promises to reduce travel time and urban traffic issues.

After a full charge, it ranges up to 200 Kmph. The company promises that it is 10X faster than any road vehicle like cabs. Its cruise speed and top speed make it faster than other road vehicles. Moreover, it can carry two people at once including a pilot or 200 Kg Luggage.

This is a sign of highly cutting-edge technology and also represents an innovation that helps set a milestone in the country’s pursuit of sustainable transportation solutions.

ePlane Company –

It was founded in 2017 at IIT Madras, by aerospace engineering professor Satya Chakravarthy and his student Pranjal Mehta. They have an aim to revolutionize urban transportation. professor Satya Chakravarthy said, “Designed for up to 10X faster intra-city commute and cargo transportation, we aim to alleviate on-road traffic congestion in the cities through our flagship product, the ePlane e200.”
