Tata Motors has just unveiled their new car, the Curvv. It's a stylish crossover that you can get with either a regular gas engine or a fully electric powertrain. The electric version is what's got everyone talking, with a starting price of 17.50 lakh rupees. It's a big deal because it's one of the first electric cars in India that looks this good and is priced to reach a wider audience.

The Tata Curvv EV comes in two versions:

• Curvv EV 45: This version costs between 17.49 lakh rupees and 19.29 lakh rupees.
• Curvv EV 55: This one is a bit pricier, ranging from 19.25 lakh rupees to 21.99 lakh rupees.

The event was kickstarted by Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors, who highlighted the significant strides the company has made in the electric vehicle sector.

Tata Motors is doing really well with electric cars.

In fact, 12 out of every 100 cars they sell now are electric! That's a huge deal, especially since they only started making electric cars seriously four years ago with the Nexon EV. They have the most different kinds of electric cars in India right now.  

There are a lot more charging stations for electric cars in India now, and there will be twice as many in just a few years. The new Tata Curvv EV is really good at charging – you can drive 150 kilometers after charging for only 15 minutes! The car can go up to 585 kilometers on a full charge, but you can probably expect to drive around 400-425 kilometers in real life.

The Tata Curvv EV comes with two different battery sizes:

• Smaller battery: This one can go up to 502 kilometers on a full charge, but in real life, you can probably expect to drive about 350 kilometers.
• Bigger battery: This one can go up to 585 kilometers on a full charge, but in real life, you can probably expect to drive about 425 kilometers.

A cool thing about this car is that it can actually send power back to your home or to another car if it needs it.

The Tata Curvv EV is pretty safe. It has six airbags to protect you in case of a crash, and special systems to help you stop the car safely (like anti-skid brakes). It also has features to help you avoid accidents, like a system that warns you if you're getting too close to other cars.

Plus, it's easy to pack things in the Curvv EV. It has a big trunk at the back and even extra storage space in the front where the engine would normally be.

The Tata Curvv will also come in versions that use regular gas or diesel.

There will be two different kinds of gas engines, one of which is a new type called Hyperion. This new engine is pretty powerful.

The diesel engine will have a special kind of gearbox that Tata hasn't used before, which should make the car drive smoother.

Both the electric and regular gas versions of the Tata Curvv are pretty similar in terms of size and shape. They have big wheels, sit a bit higher off the ground than most cars, and can drive through water up to 450 millimeters deep. They also have the same amount of space inside, with a big trunk to put your stuff.
