The standout feature of the Star Edition is its bold blacked-out theme. Mahindra has given this variant a gloss-black finish for the front grille and alloy wheels, creating a more aggressive and premium exterior look compared with the standard Thar Roxx. A new Citrine Yellow colour joins the range, alongside existing choices like Tango Red, Everest White and Stealth Black. The Star Edition also gets a distinctive Star Edition badge on the C-pillar to set it apart visually.

Inside, the cabin receives a complete makeover from the usual lighter tones to an all-black leatherette theme with suede accents. While the underlying equipment remains the same as the AX7 trim, the darker interior adds a more upscale feel to the SUV.

The Star Edition carries forward the rich feature list of the top trim, including:
This ensures that buyers get the same technology and comfort found in the high-spec Thar Roxx models, with the added flair of this special edition’s design updates.
Under the hood, the Thar Roxx Star Edition continues with the same powertrain options available in the standard model. These include:
One noteworthy change: the Star Edition is offered only in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration, with no four-wheel-drive option on offer — making it more suited to buyers focused on style and on-road driving rather than hardcore off-roading.
The introductory pricing for the Star Edition (all ex-showroom) is as follows:
The Thar Roxx Star Edition is tailored for SUV buyers who appreciate the Thar’s iconic lifestyle SUV appeal but want extra visual differentiation and a more premium on-road presence. With its mix of bold design changes, modern tech and the familiar Thar styling, it aims to attract urban and highway-focused customers who value aesthetics as much as substance.
