Tata Motors reported strong passenger vehicle sales for March 2026 and the full financial year FY2025–26, with good growth in domestic, export, and electric vehicle segments. In March 2026, the company sold 66,192 passenger vehicles in India. This is a 28.24% increase compared to 51,616 units sold in March 2025. Sales also increased by 6.35% compared to February 2026, when Tata Motors sold 62,239 units.

Tata Motors reported strong overall passenger vehicle sales in March 2026, including exports. Total sales reached 66,971 units, showing a 29.11% increase compared to 51,872 units sold in March 2025. Exports saw a sharp jump of 204.30%, rising from 256 units last year to 779 units this year.
Electric vehicle (EV) sales also grew significantly. Tata Motors sold 9,494 EVs in March 2026, which is a 77.36% increase from 5,353 units sold last year. EVs continue to be an important growth driver for the company, thanks to strong demand and a growing range of products. Tata Motors delivered a strong performance in the fourth quarter (January–March) of FY2025–26.

During this period, total passenger vehicle sales reached 2,01,368 units, showing a 36.99% increase compared to 1,46,999 units in the same quarter last year. Domestic sales stood at 1,98,743 units, growing by 36.01% from 1,46,127 units. Exports also saw a big jump, rising to 2,625 units from 872 units, which is over 200% growth.
Electric vehicle (EV) sales for the quarter were 26,931 units, marking a 68.99% increase compared to 15,936 units sold in the previous year.
Tata Motors achieved its highest-ever annual sales in FY2025–26, showing strong overall growth. The company sold a total of 6,41,587 passenger vehicles during the year, which is a 15.34% increase compared to 5,56,263 units sold in FY2024–25.
Domestic sales contributed 6,31,387 units, growing by 14.05% from 5,53,585 units last year. Exports recorded a huge rise of 280.88%, increasing from 2,678 units to 10,200 units. Electric vehicle (EV) sales for the full year reached 92,120 units, showing a strong 43.32% growth compared to 64,276 units sold in the previous year. Tata Motors has seen strong growth mainly due to high demand for its SUV lineup. Popular models like the Tata Nexon and Tata Punch have become top sellers for the company.
The company is also getting a good response to its recent launches, including the Tata Sierra, updated Punch, and petrol versions of the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari. With a strong focus on SUVs, CNG, and electric vehicles, along with a solid lineup of upcoming models, Tata Motors is expected to continue its growth in FY2026–27.
