Tata Motors has expanded its fleet-focused Xpres lineup with the launch of new petrol and CNG variants designed exclusively for commercial and professional fleet operations. The move broadens the Xpres portfolio beyond its earlier all-electric model, offering fleet buyers a choice of electric, petrol, and CNG powertrains under one nameplate to suit diverse operating needs.
Based on the established Tata Tigor sedan platform, the petrol and CNG Xpres variants are tailored for high-utilisation environments such as cab aggregators, airport transfers, employee transport, intercity operations, and tourist taxi services. Unlike typical passenger cars, these cars are sold exclusively through Tata’s fleet-focused sales channels, with bookings now open at authorised dealerships.
The fleet-only Xpres petrol is priced at about ₹5.59 lakh, while the CNG variant is priced around ₹6.59 lakh, both on an ex-showroom basis (Delhi). Tata Motors is also offering a standard warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km, which can be extended up to five years or 1,80,000 km, providing long-term support for commercial operators.

The Xpres petrol and CNG variants are configured with a fleet-minded specification, focusing on durability and low operating costs. Tata Motors claims a competitive maintenance cost (approximately ₹0.47 per km) and offers equipment and service packages tailored to professional operators. To further support fleet customers, the company has started establishing dedicated fleet-focused dealerships, which provide specialised sales, servicing, and support infrastructure to minimise downtime and improve uptime for commercial vehicles.
With the introduction of these petrol and CNG models, Tata Motors strengthens its multi-powertrain strategy aimed at delivering flexible, cost-effective solutions for fleet buyers. By offering multiple fuel options under the Xpres badge — electric for zero-emissions urban travel, petrol for simplicity and reliability, and CNG for low running costs — Tata is positioning itself to meet the broad spectrum of needs in India’s fast-growing commercial mobility market.
