Skoda India has commenced production of the highly anticipated 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift at its Chakan manufacturing facility in Pune, setting the stage for the SUV’s official launch and customer deliveries in March 2026. The move follows the model’s recent unveiling and the opening of pre-bookings with a token amount of ₹15,000.

The updated Kushaq brings a refreshed exterior design featuring a wider butterfly grille with a connected LED light strip, redesigned LED headlamps, fog lights and a sportier Monte Carlo edition option at launch. Inside, it gets premium touches such as dual-tone ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital driver display, panoramic sunroof and rear-seat massage function — a segment-first luxury feature.
Under the hood, the SUV retains its familiar 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines, with the 1.0-litre automatic now paired with a new 8-speed gearbox for smoother performance. Safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist and TPMS, though advanced ADAS and a 360° camera are absent.
Prices are expected to start around ₹10.50 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning the facelifted Kushaq against rivals such as the Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Volkswagen Taigun and Honda Elevate in India’s competitive compact SUV segment.
