Solis, the flagship tractor brand of International Tractors Limited (ITL), has introduced its all-new JP 975 tractor, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to bring advanced mechanisation to Indian farmers. The launch signals the debut of Solis’s next-generation technology platform aimed at improving performance, productivity, and operator comfort across diverse agricultural applications.
At the heart of the newly unveiled model is a JP Tech 4-cylinder engine that delivers torque of up to 205 Nm, representing around a 10 % increase in torque over comparable models in its class. The engine is designed to support heavy-duty farm operations while enhancing fuel efficiency and reliability — a key requirement for progressive farmers.
A standout feature of the JP 975 is its India’s first 15F+5R epicyclic transmission in this segment, integrated with side-shift gears that provide at least five optimal working speeds tailored for various farming tasks. The advanced transmission delivers smoother gear shifts and flexibility across different speeds, making it suitable for soil preparation, haulage tasks, and implement work.
Paired with the transmission is a Smart Shuttle system that enables quick and jerk-free directional changes during field and loader operations, enhancing overall operator productivity.
Built on a ladder-type chassis, the JP 975 aims to reduce vibration and noise during long hours of operation, improving the comfort and endurance of users on the field. The design reflects Solis’s focus on combining performance with operator-centric engineering.
Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director of International Tractors Limited, described the launch as a “decisive step in bringing next-generation tractor technologies to Indian farmers.” Solis plans to expand its JP series with additional models based on the same platform within the next year, targeting farmers seeking high productivity and technology-driven farm solutions.
Solis continues to strengthen its position in both domestic and export markets as one of India’s leading tractor brands, aiming to meet the evolving needs of the agriculture sector with power, efficiency, and innovation.
