Renault has started rolling out teasers for the much-anticipated 2026 Renault Duster ahead of its official reveal in India on January 26, 2026. The iconic midsize SUV, which played a pivotal role in popularising the segment in the country, is making a strong comeback with tailored design touches for Indian buyers.

New Design Elements for India

While the Renault Duster’s overall silhouette remains true to the global model, the teaser footage gives us a sneak peek at distinctive India-specific exterior updates:

• Eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) placed above the headlights are clearly visible through the cover. These DRLs are expected to double as turn indicators and differ from the Y-shaped daytime lights on the global version.
• At the rear, connected LED taillights linked by a light bar have been teased, a modern design cue that contrasts with the separate wraparound Y-shaped lights seen abroad.
• A rear wiper and Renault’s new corporate logo (first seen on the Triber facelift) also make an appearance, hinting at contemporary styling updates.

These tweaks aim to give the India-spec Duster a refreshed look while keeping its rugged SUV character intact.

Interior and Features – What to Expect

Although the interior hasn’t been officially revealed yet, industry insights suggest that it will draw heavily from the global version, which offers a more premium, feature-rich cabin compared to the outgoing Duster. Expected highlights include:

• A 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
• A 7-inch digital driver display

At launch, the India-spec Duster is expected to be offered primarily with petrol engines. One likely candidate is the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit producing around 156 hp, which is also used in other Renault models globally. Renault has also confirmed plans to introduce a strong-hybrid petrol variant sometime after the launch — potentially around a year later — which would make the Duster stand out in its segment with improved fuel efficiency.
