Honda bikes has revealed the detailed specifications of the India-spec Rebel 300, its entry-level lifestyle cruiser bikes designed for riders who prefer a low-slung motorcycle with distinctive bobber styling. The motorcycle is offered in Standard and E-Clutch versions, combining a 286cc liquid-cooled engine with a six-speed gearbox and modern equipment.
The Rebel 300 has been launched in India at an introductory-segment price of ₹2.22 lakh for the Standard variant and ₹2.62 lakh for the E-Clutch version, ex-showroom Bengaluru. Bookings opened with a token amount of ₹5,000, and deliveries were scheduled to begin from mid-October 2026.
With its low seat height, compact proportions and relaxed riding position, the Rebel 300 is aimed at riders looking for an alternative to traditional roadsters and larger cruisers. The E-Clutch version adds technology designed to make gear changes easier, particularly in stop-and-go traffic.
The India-spec Honda Rebel 300 is powered by a 286cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, giving riders conventional gear control in both available versions.

The engine is designed to provide accessible performance for everyday riding and relaxed cruising. Rather than prioritising outright speed, the Rebel 300 focuses on manageable power delivery and a comfortable riding experience.
One of the biggest highlights of the Rebel 300 is the availability of Honda's E-Clutch technology.
The system automatically operates the clutch during starts, stops and gear changes, allowing the rider to shift gears without manually pulling the clutch lever. However, the conventional gear lever remains in place, and riders can still operate the clutch manually when required.
The technology is particularly useful in congested urban traffic, where frequent gear changes can make riding tiring. It may also help newer riders become more comfortable with a manual gearbox.
The Standard version retains a conventional clutch setup, while the E-Clutch variant is priced ₹40,000 higher. Buyers will need to decide whether the additional convenience justifies the premium.
The Honda Rebel 300 follows a minimalist bobber-inspired design. Its low stance, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round LED headlamp and compact rear section give it a distinctive appearance.
Key exterior highlights include:
Round LED projector headlamp
Low-slung body profile
Teardrop-shaped fuel tank
Blacked-out mechanical components
Wide rear tyre
Compact exhaust design
Two-piece seat layout
The overall styling is deliberately understated, making the Rebel 300 visually different from conventional commuter motorcycles and more traditional chrome-heavy cruisers.
Despite its retro-inspired appearance, the Rebel 300 receives several modern features.

The Rebel 300 enters the lifestyle motorcycle segment, where buyers may also consider models such as the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 and Jawa 42 Bobber.
The Honda stands out with its 286cc liquid-cooled engine, low seat height and optional electronic clutch technology. Rival motorcycles may appeal to buyers who prefer different styling, engine characteristics or a more traditional riding experience.
A proper comparison should consider the on-road price, service network, comfort, ground clearance, fuel efficiency and intended use rather than engine capacity alone.
