Skoda Auto India has officially launched the new Slavia in India, with prices starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 18.84 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topping version. The updated sedan brings revised styling, additional technology, more comfort features and a new automatic transmission option for the 1.0-litre TSI engine.
The new Slavia continues to target buyers looking for a premium midsize sedan, while retaining its turbo-petrol powertrain lineup and the model's India-focused platform.

The new Slavia receives a refreshed exterior rather than a completely new design. The front-end gets redesigned LED headlamps, while the lighting elements and detailing have been updated to give the sedan a sharper appearance.
Skoda has also introduced new alloy-wheel designs and refreshed exterior details across the range. The changes are intended to give the Slavia a more contemporary appearance while retaining its familiar sedan proportions.
At the rear, the sedan gets updated LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators, adding a more premium appearance to the lighting setup.
One of the biggest mechanical changes is the introduction of an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox with the 1.0-litre TSI engine.
The 1.0 TSI continues to produce around 115 PS and 178 Nm, while buyers can choose between the six-speed manual and the new eight-speed automatic depending on the variant.
The larger 1.5-litre TSI continues to be offered with a 7-speed DSG automatic, providing a more performance-focused option for buyers.

The interior of the new Slavia gets additional technology and comfort-focused upgrades.
A new-generation infotainment system is part of the updated package, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The sedan also gets an AI Companion-based connectivity system.
One of the most notable additions is a rear-seat massage function, claimed as a segment-first feature. This is aimed at improving comfort for passengers during longer journeys.
Skoda has also upgraded the Slavia's parking and camera technology.
Higher variants get a 360-degree Area View camera system, working alongside Park Pilot and front parking sensors. This should make manoeuvring the sedan in tight urban spaces easier.
The addition is particularly useful for buyers who regularly drive in crowded cities and parking areas.
Safety remains a major focus of the Slavia. The updated sedan continues with its six-airbag setup and comprehensive active and passive safety equipment.
The model also carries forward its 5-star Global NCAP safety credentials, reinforcing its positioning as a safety-focused family sedan.
Apart from the rear-seat massage function and 360-degree camera, the updated Slavia gets several technology and convenience improvements.
The overall package is aimed at making the sedan more competitive against modern SUVs and other midsize sedans. Rather than focusing only on styling changes, Škoda has added features that are directly relevant to everyday usability.
The new automatic transmission for the 1.0 TSI is particularly important because it gives buyers a more convenient option without requiring them to step up to the more expensive 1.5 TSI DSG.
Škoda has announced that customer deliveries of the new Slavia are scheduled to begin next week following the price announcement.
The company had previously opened pre-bookings for the updated sedan after unveiling it in August 2026.
The latest Slavia update is more than a cosmetic refresh. The introduction of the 8-speed automatic with the 1.0 TSI, along with new cabin technology, a 360-degree camera and rear-seat massage function, gives the sedan a stronger equipment package.
At Rs 9.99 lakh, the new Slavia also retains an aggressive starting price, while the range-topping version reaches Rs 18.84 lakh ex-showroom.
For buyers who still prefer the driving position, boot space and highway character of a sedan over a similarly priced SUV, the updated Slavia continues to offer a distinctive alternative.
