VinFast VF 6, VF 7 Get Pricier in India by Up to Rs 1.13 Lakh

VinFast car has revised the prices of its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India with immediate effect. This marks the second price increase for both models since their launch, following the end of their introductory pricing in January 2026. The latest revision is expected to be linked to rising production and input costs.

The VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 were launched in India in September 2025, with introductory prices starting at Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 20.89 lakh, respectively. After the latest revision, the VF 6 is priced from Rs 18.19 lakh, while the VF 7 now starts at Rs 22.99 lakh.

VinFast VF 7 New Price – August 2026

The VinFast VF 7 has received a price increase of between Rs 1.10 lakh and Rs 1.13 lakh, depending on the variant. It is now priced between Rs 22.99 lakh and Rs 28.09 lakh.

The VF 7 is offered in five variants: Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky and Sky Infinity. The SUV competes with models such as the Mahindra XEV 9e and Tata Harrier EV.

The entry-level VF 7 Earth uses a 59.6 kWh battery and comes with a front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup. It produces 130 kW (177 PS) and 250 Nm of torque, with a certified range of 438 km.

The Wind and Wind Infinity variants get a larger 70 kWh battery pack. Both use FWD and produce 150 kW (204 PS) and 310 Nm. Their certified range stands at 532 km.

The range-topping Sky and Sky Infinity variants feature all-wheel drive (AWD), delivering 260 kW (353 PS) and 500 Nm. These versions offer a certified range of 510 km and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around 5.8 seconds.

VinFast VF 6 New Price – August 2026

The VinFast VF 6 has become Rs 90,000 more expensive across all three variants — Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity. The electric SUV now costs between Rs 18.19 lakh and Rs 20.09 lakh.

All VF 6 variants use a 59.6 kWh battery and a front-wheel-drive system. The Earth variant produces 130 kW (177 PS), while the Wind and Wind Infinity variants develop 150 kW (204 PS).

The certified range stands at 468 km for the VF 6 Earth, while the Wind and Wind Infinity variants offer a claimed range of 463 km.

In the Indian market, the VF 6 competes with electric SUVs including the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV.

Features and Safety

Both electric SUVs come with a premium equipment list, including ventilated front seats, a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-speaker audio setup, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, over-the-air (OTA) updates, a head-up display, wireless charging and keyless entry.

Safety equipment includes electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, seven airbags, rollover mitigation, a 360-degree surround-view camera and tyre-pressure monitoring system.

Both the VF 6 and VF 7 have also secured 5-star Bharat NCAP safety ratings. A comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) is available as well.

With the latest price revision, VinFast's electric SUVs remain positioned in the premium EV space, where they face growing competition from established Indian and global manufacturers.
