Bajaj Auto appears to be preparing another update for its popular Pulsar range, and the Pulsar RS200 has now been spotted testing with several notable changes. The latest test motorcycle suggests that Bajaj could be working on a more comprehensive update for its fully faired 200cc motorcycle.
The biggest visible changes include upside-down front forks, a new TFT instrument console, revised switchgear and adjustable brake and clutch levers. While Bajaj has not officially announced the updated RS200 yet, the spy motorcycle indicates that the company could be preparing to bring more premium equipment to the model.
The most noticeable mechanical change on the test bike is the use of upside-down front forks.
The current RS200 uses conventional telescopic front suspension, so the move to USD forks would represent a significant hardware upgrade. The new setup could improve the motorcycle's front-end feel and give the RS200 a more premium appearance.
The rear continues to feature a monoshock setup, while disc brakes are visible at both ends.
The upcoming RS200 could also receive a major upgrade to its instrument console.
Spy images show a rectangular TFT display with information such as speed, gear position and a tachometer layout. The design appears to follow the newer technology direction already seen across other updated Pulsar models.
A more advanced display could potentially bring additional connected features, although Bajaj has yet to confirm the complete equipment list.
The test motorcycle also features revised handlebar controls.
The left-side switchgear appears to include a directional control pad, while the right side gets a dedicated hazard-light switch. The motorcycle also appears to feature adjustable clutch and brake levers, allowing riders to tailor lever reach according to their preference.
A covered port near the instrument cluster also suggests that USB charging could be offered.
The appearance of a TFT display raises the possibility of additional electronic features.
Bajaj has been expanding connected technology and riding modes across its Pulsar range. Therefore, the updated RS200 could potentially receive features such as:
Smartphone connectivity
Navigation-related functions
Additional riding modes
Electronic throttle control
Traction control
USB charging
However, these features should be considered possibilities rather than confirmed equipment until Bajaj officially reveals the motorcycle.
Despite the equipment upgrades, the test motorcycle appears to retain the RS200's familiar full-faired design.
The bike continues to feature its distinctive twin-projector-style front lighting arrangement, raised windscreen, fairing-mounted mirrors and sharp body panels. The overall silhouette therefore appears likely to remain familiar even if the mechanical and electronic equipment receives significant upgrades.
This could be a sensible approach for Bajaj, allowing the company to modernise the motorcycle without moving away from the RS200's established identity.
The biggest changes are currently expected to focus on equipment rather than the engine.
The existing RS200 uses a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing around 24.5 PS and 18.7 Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
There is currently no clear indication that the upcoming test motorcycle will receive a major engine revision. If the same powertrain continues, Bajaj could concentrate on improving the motorcycle's features, suspension and overall riding experience instead.

The current RS200 received an important update in 2025, when Bajaj added features including a new tail-lamp design, colour LCD instrumentation, riding modes and a slipper clutch.
The newly spotted test motorcycle suggests that Bajaj may now be taking the model's equipment a step further.
If the USD forks and TFT display make it into production, the next RS200 could feel considerably more modern without requiring a complete redesign.
Bajaj has not officially announced the launch date of this updated RS200.
However, the appearance of a test motorcycle with production-relevant components suggests that development is well underway. The motorcycle could be introduced after the testing and validation process is completed, but the exact timeline and specifications remain unconfirmed.
If the upcoming changes make it into the production version, the RS200 could become a more attractive proposition for riders looking for a fully faired motorcycle with modern equipment.
The combination of USD forks, TFT instrumentation, adjustable controls and potentially more electronic features would give the RS200 a stronger premium positioning in the 200cc performance-bike segment.
At the same time, retaining the existing engine and familiar design could allow Bajaj to keep the motorcycle's core character intact.
