Royal Enfield's bikes electric mobility brand, Flying Flea, has expanded its presence in India with the launch of its retail and service network in Hyderabad. The city becomes the brand's second Indian market after Bengaluru, giving more customers access to its electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6.

The Hyderabad expansion includes four customer touchpoints designed to support sales, servicing and after-sales requirements. The move follows the growing adoption of the C6 in Bengaluru, where customers have collectively covered more than 1 lakh kilometres on the electric motorcycle.

The Flying Flea C6 combines retro-inspired styling with modern electric technology, connected features and a lightweight construction. With its arrival in Hyderabad, the brand is taking another step towards expanding its electric two-wheeler business in India.

Retro Design with Modern Technology

The Flying Flea C6 takes inspiration from the lightweight Flying Flea motorcycles associated with Royal Enfield's history. Its neo-retro appearance combines distinctive proportions with contemporary electric motorcycle engineering.

The design includes a compact body, a distinctive front suspension arrangement and an aluminium battery enclosure. The motorcycle also uses a lightweight construction philosophy intended to support agility in urban environments.

The C6 is available in three colour options: Storm Black, Flea Green and Parachute White.

Inside the cockpit, a 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen provides riding information and connected functions. Other features include smartphone connectivity, navigation, keyless access and wireless phone charging.

The motorcycle also offers multiple riding modes, including Eco, Rain, Highway, Sport and Custom. Safety equipment includes dual-channel ABS with a switchable rear ABS function and traction control.

Charging and Everyday Usability

Charging time is an important consideration for electric motorcycle buyers. The Flying Flea C6 can be charged from 0 to 100% in approximately 2 hours and 16 minutes under specified conditions. A 20–80% charge takes around 65 minutes.

These figures provide an indication of the charging time required, although actual results may vary depending on ambient temperature and charging conditions.

The motorcycle's claimed 154km IDC range may be suitable for many daily urban commuting requirements. However, buyers should consider their daily travel distance, access to charging facilities and the availability of service support before making a purchase decision.

The BaaS option could also appeal to customers who prefer a lower initial purchase price, provided the recurring battery-related costs suit their usage pattern.

Why Hyderabad Is Important for Flying Flea

Hyderabad's addition to the Flying Flea network represents an important step in the brand's Indian expansion. Bengaluru was its first Indian market, and the reported customer riding distance of more than 1 lakh kilometres there provides an early indication of real-world use.

The new Hyderabad network combines a central technical-support location with three additional service touchpoints. This arrangement is intended to make ownership support more accessible as the brand develops its customer base.

For electric motorcycle manufacturers, retail availability alone is not enough. Reliable servicing, charging convenience, technical assistance and transparent ownership costs are important factors in building customer confidence.

Flying Flea's expansion into Hyderabad will therefore be an important test of how effectively the brand can establish its premium electric motorcycle offering in another major Indian city.
