The new electric C-Class is designed to impress, with a luxurious interior and advanced technology inspired by the S-Class.
Mercedes-Benz has launched a new electric version of the C-Class. It offers a great mix of performance, comfort, and luxury. The regular petrol/diesel C-Class has been very popular for many years, and this new electric model builds on that success. With its sporty design and many premium features, it looks ready to compete with cars from BMW and Tesla. Let’s take a closer look at what it offers.
Look at Mercedes-Benz Latest Models

The car’s smooth, curved shape not only looks good but also helps improve efficiency, with a low drag coefficient of 0.22. Its coupe-like design gives it a sporty feel and helps it stand out from other electric models like the EQE and EQS. Following the trend of eye-catching lighting, Mercedes has also added an illuminated grille with 1,050 small lights.
The headlights and taillights feature the signature Mercedes-Benz star design. The front bumper has large side air vents that add to its sporty look. Other highlights include star-shaped alloy wheels, smooth body panels, flush door handles, and dual-tone side mirrors. The rear design of the electric C-Class appears to be inspired by the 2025 Concept GT XX.

Mercedes says the electric C-Class is the sportiest version ever made, and that seems believable. Inside, it comes with many features and customization options that make it even more attractive. One of the main highlights is the large 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, which stretches across the entire dashboard. This is high-end technology usually seen in flagship models, now brought to a sporty sedan.
The glass-covered display uses advanced lighting with over 1,000 adjustable LED zones. This helps create a more immersive and high-tech experience for the driver and front passenger. In comparison, the BMW i3 takes a simpler approach, with a smaller touchscreen and a display running across the base of the windshield.
The new electric C-Class comes with improved luxury features. The front seats offer massage, lumbar support, ventilation, and built-in 4D sound. There are also customization options like a panoramic sunroof with 162 small illuminated stars, which can change colors based on the ambient lighting settings.
The electric C-Class will first be launched in the C400 version. It uses the same powertrain as the GLC 400 4Matic introduced last year. The car has two electric motors that produce a combined 360 kW (489 PS). It can go from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in just 3.9 seconds. With a 94 kWh usable battery, it offers a range of up to 762 km (WLTP).
The rival BMW i3 offers a higher range of up to 900 km. The electric C-Class is expected to have an EPA range of over 644 km. With a high-speed DC fast charger, it can add up to 325 km of range in just 10 minutes. Other features include air suspension and smart damping for a smoother ride. It also has rear-axle steering, which helps reduce the turning radius to 11.2 meters, making it easier to handle.
The electric C-Class uses Mercedes’ latest MB.OS system. It supports features like AI-based voice assistance that can learn user preferences, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and augmented reality navigation. Buyers can also opt for the MB. DRIVE ASSIST PRO package, which is a Level 2 driver assistance system. It helps with semi-automated driving from one point to another, even in busy city traffic.
Mercedes will first launch the all-new electric C-Class in the United States. After that, it will roll out to other markets in phases, depending on local approvals. More details about the car are expected to be shared closer to its launch.
