Bajaj Auto is preparing for an action-packed festive season with several new and updated motorcycles planned for the Indian market. The company has lined up 10 motorcycle launches by September 2026, with four models already introduced in recent weeks. The remaining six products are expected to arrive in the coming weeks, adding further momentum to Bajaj’s two-wheeler portfolio.
The upcoming launches are likely to include updated versions of existing motorcycles as well as potentially an entirely new model. Among the products generating the most interest is a new adventure motorcycle that has recently been spotted testing.
Bajaj has already strengthened its Pulsar portfolio with the introduction of the Pulsar N160 S, Pulsar N160 SS, Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150. The company is now expected to turn its attention towards the Pulsar NS family.
The Pulsar NS range currently consists of the NS125, NS160, NS200 and NS400Z. Considering the strong demand for smaller-capacity motorcycles, the NS125 and NS160 could be among the models to receive updates first.
The Pulsar NS motorcycles are known for their aggressive styling, sporty riding position and performance-focused character. Their design features sharp bodywork, muscular tank extensions and an underbelly exhaust. The range also uses a perimeter-frame setup designed to provide rigidity and support more responsive handling.
The Pulsar family remains one of Bajaj's most important volume drivers. It currently accounts for around 44% of the company's monthly two-wheeler sales, with the 125cc-200cc motorcycles making up a substantial portion of that contribution.
In July, Pulsar sales stood at 66,156 units, placing the range among India's leading-selling motorcycle families. Its market share was close to 10%, highlighting the importance of the brand to Bajaj's overall two-wheeler business.
Apart from Pulsar updates, Bajaj is also preparing what could become its first dedicated adventure motorcycle. Test versions of the upcoming ADV have been spotted on Indian roads, revealing several details about its design and equipment.
The motorcycle is expected to sit in the 250cc segment. It could potentially use the 249cc air/oil-cooled engine found in the Pulsar N250, although Bajaj has not officially confirmed the powertrain specifications.
The test motorcycle has been seen with a fully digital TFT instrument console, telescopic front suspension, a rear monoshock and a high-mounted exhaust. If launched as expected, the new ADV could compete with motorcycles such as the Hero Xpulse 210, Suzuki V-Strom SX and Yezdi Adventure.
The model is reportedly planned for Brazil around the Christmas period, while its Indian introduction could take place earlier.
Bajaj is also working on increasing its manufacturing capacity to support rising motorcycle demand. The company's current production capability is around 72 lakh units annually, while the target is to take this figure beyond 90 lakh units per year.
Both expansion of existing facilities and the development of a new manufacturing plant are being considered. However, details regarding the location and investment for a potential greenfield facility are yet to be finalized.
Bajaj's sports motorcycle portfolio also delivered strong growth during the April-June quarter, recording approximately 50% year-on-year growth. The Pulsar, Avenger and Dominar ranges all registered double-digit growth during the period.
With six more motorcycles expected to arrive by September, Bajaj's upcoming product strategy could give its two-wheeler lineup a significant boost ahead of the 2026 festive season
