Toyota Car Sales in April 2025

April is the best month for the Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), in which the company sold 27,324 vehicles. Toyota registered a 33% increase, which is impressive and sets a benchmark also. Last year, the company sold 20,494 units in the same month. The company’s domestic sales were noted at 24,833 units, and exports contributed 2,491 units. Toyota's sales grew even though the company paused production for a few days (April 21–25, 2025) to do regular maintenance on its machines and equipment. This short break was important to keep everything running safely and smoothly. The strong sales in April came right after Toyota finished the 2024–2025 financial year with its highest-ever sales in India.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is a partnership between Japan's Toyota Motor Corporation (which owns 89%) and India's Kirloskar Systems (which owns 11%). The company runs two factories in Bidadi, near Bangalore, that together can produce up to 342,000 vehicles each year.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor's first plant, set up in 1997, builds models like the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner, and Legender. The second plant started in December 2010 and makes the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and Hilux. The company also sells other locally made cars such as the Glanza, Rumion, and Urban Cruiser Taisor, along with imported models like the Vellfire and LC 300.
