Bajaj Auto is preparing a substantially updated Pulsar 125 for the Indian market, with the new-generation motorcycle expected to arrive ahead of the festive season. Recent road-test sightings have revealed several design and hardware changes, while the top-spec version is expected to feature a TFT instrument cluster.
The updated motorcycle is expected to focus on more than just styling, with improvements reportedly planned for its engine, suspension and everyday technology.
The 2026 Pulsar 125 gets a noticeably revised front-end design. The motorcycle features a new LED headlamp accompanied by an updated front fender.
One of the more visible changes is the repositioned front number plate. It now sits above the headlamp rather than partially overlapping it, giving the front section a cleaner appearance.
The windscreen retains its familiar shape, although its lower edges appear more rounded. The fuel tank and extensions have also been redesigned, with sharper tank shrouds giving the motorcycle a more muscular appearance.
At the rear, Bajaj has revised the tail-lamp design and split grab rails, while the exhaust receives a new dual-tone finish.
The update isn't limited to cosmetic changes. Bajaj appears to have made several smaller changes aimed at improving functionality and reducing weight.
The new Pulsar 125 gets a toe-only gear shifter, replacing the current heel-and-toe setup. The chain cover appears to use plastic construction, which could help reduce overall weight.

Perhaps the most significant addition is the new TFT instrument cluster spotted on the test motorcycle.
The display appears similar to the unit used on the recently introduced Pulsar N160 SS top variant. If carried into production, the TFT unit could bring Bluetooth connectivity along with features such as:
However, advanced functions such as Google Maps mirroring and Wi-Fi connectivity may remain exclusive to higher-end Pulsar models.
The motorcycle has also been spotted with a Type-C USB charging port and hazard lights, adding further convenience for everyday users.
Bajaj could also make mechanical changes to the new Pulsar 125.
The existing 125cc engine is expected to receive a revised tune aimed at delivering smoother operation and improved fuel efficiency. Exact power and torque figures have not yet been confirmed.
Another important change could be at the rear. The new model is expected to replace the current twin shock absorbers with a monoshock setup. Apart from improving the motorcycle's sporty appearance, the revised suspension could also enhance handling and ride quality.
With the addition of new technology and hardware, the updated Pulsar 125 could command a slightly higher price, particularly in its top-spec TFT-equipped version.
For reference, the current Pulsar 125 starts at around ₹90,494.

What to Expect
The upcoming Pulsar 125 appears to be more than a routine facelift. With new styling, TFT technology, revised suspension, potential engine improvements and additional convenience features, Bajaj is positioning the motorcycle for a stronger fight in the increasingly technology-focused 125cc category.
If the final production version retains most of these updates, the new Pulsar 125 could become one of the more feature-rich options in its segment while retaining the familiar Pulsar identity.
