The July 2026 figures show that practicality remains the biggest driving force behind India's 7-seater market. The Ertiga continues to dominate the mass-market space, while Mahindra's broad SUV portfolio gives it multiple strong positions in the rankings.
At the same time, impressive growth from models such as the XL6 and Rumion shows that buyers are increasingly willing to explore different combinations of premium features, practicality and value.
With several newer models entering the segment, the competition is becoming stronger. However, the July results make one thing clear: space, versatility, brand confidence and everyday usability remain the key ingredients for success in India's 7-seater market.
