2026 TATA Tiago ICE and EV Revealed

Tata Motors has unveiled the refreshed Tiago ICE and Tiago EV ahead of their launch on 28th May 2026. Newly released images reveal the hatchbacks with extensively revised front and rear designs, updated lighting setups, and additional features, giving Tata’s entry-level models a fresher and more contemporary look.

The latest images also showcase new exterior colour options for both models. The Tiago EV is finished in a light mint green shade, while the ICE variant features a striking coral orange paint scheme. These newly introduced colours seem intended to give the hatchback range a more youthful and vibrant appeal.

Amazing New Lighting with More Sharpness

Both the Tiago ICE and Tiago EV now come with redesigned front fascias featuring sleeker LED headlamps and a cleaner overall design. The EV variant adopts a fully sealed front panel along with vertically positioned bumper elements and a large lower air intake section. In contrast, the ICE model continues with a more conventional grille design finished in gloss black.

The headlamp design now looks sharper and more angular, featuring integrated LED DRLs. At the rear, Tata has introduced connected-style LED tail lamps with a smoked finish, giving the Tiago a visibly wider stance and a more premium appearance than before.

The ICE version also gets newly designed alloy wheels, while ORVM-mounted cameras confirm the addition of a 360-degree camera system, which could become a segment-first feature for the Tiago range. Meanwhile, the Tiago EV is seen with a fresh aero-style wheel design aimed at improving its modern electric look.

Now ICE Gets Fog Lamps but EV Misses Out at same time

Interestingly, the teaser images highlight a few distinctions between the ICE and EV variants. The petrol/CNG model features fog lamps integrated into the bumper, while the showcased Tiago EV version does not get fog lamps. The Tiago facelift also receives chrome garnishes on the door handles and window sills, although the EV variant appears to miss out on the chrome treatment for the window line.

Both versions receive redesigned front and rear bumpers along with updated detailing around the tailgate and lighting elements. Tata has also refreshed the lower bumper sections with a cleaner, more geometric design pattern.

Tiago Interior Updates

Although Tata has not yet revealed the interior, the updated Tiago lineup is expected to retain the revised dashboard design introduced last year. Current features already include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an illuminated Tata logo on the steering wheel, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and automatic climate control.

The facelift is also expected to introduce a larger digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, and possibly a sunroof on higher-spec variants. Tata may further update the variant naming structure to align with its newer Persona-based branding strategy.

Powertrain Details are expected to continue

Mechanically, the Tiago ICE is likely to retain the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, along with i-CNG variants. Transmission options are expected to continue with both manual and AMT gearboxes.

The Tiago EV may receive upgrades in battery efficiency and charging performance. At present, it comes with 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery pack options, offering a certified range of up to 293 km. Tata could also bring in improved battery chemistry and faster charging capabilities, similar to updates introduced in the Punch EV facelift.

With these updates, Tata is looking to reinforce the Tiago’s standing in the hatchback segment against competitors like the Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, while the Tiago EV will continue to cater to budget-conscious electric vehicle buyers in India.
