2027 Toyota Innova HyCross Facelift Interior Spied

Toyota is preparing a facelift for the Innova HyCross, and the updated MPV has once again been spotted testing on Indian roads. This time, the latest test vehicle provides a closer look at the interior, although one of the most important elements — the infotainment touchscreen — has been deliberately covered.

The cabin visible in the latest spy images appears largely familiar compared with the current Innova HyCross. However, Toyota could introduce technology and equipment upgrades as part of the facelift.

Infotainment Screen Remains Hidden

The most interesting detail is the centre infotainment display. A covering appears to have been placed directly in front of the screen, preventing a clear view of its design and size.

The current Innova HyCross is offered with a 10.1-inch touchscreen on higher variants. Earlier sightings and reports have suggested that the facelift could receive a larger display, potentially accompanied by updated software and connectivity features. However, the latest spy images do not confirm the final screen size.

Expected Interior Updates

Interior Area Expected Update
Infotainment Larger/new-generation touchscreen possible
Dashboard Largely familiar layout
Instrument Cluster Possible digital upgrade
Upholstery Revised trims and materials possible
Connectivity Updated software and connected features expected
Camera System 360-degree camera upgrade possible
Safety Tech Further ADAS improvements possible

Toyota may also revise the dashboard finish, upholstery and other cabin details without making significant changes to the overall architecture.

Familiar Dashboard Layout

Despite the facelift, the visible dashboard design appears close to the existing model. The centre console, gear selector and overall dashboard arrangement seem to have been carried forward.

The cabin could therefore follow an evolutionary approach, with Toyota concentrating on technology and equipment rather than introducing a completely redesigned interior.

Exterior Changes Expected

While the interior looks familiar, the exterior of the 2027 Innova HyCross facelift is expected to receive more noticeable changes.

Previous test vehicles have been seen with extensive camouflage around the front and rear sections. Expected revisions include a redesigned front fascia, updated lighting elements, a revised grille and new bumper designs. The rear could also receive revised lighting details and bumper styling.

The overall silhouette and proportions are expected to remain similar, keeping the Innova HyCross recognisable while giving it a fresher appearance.

Engine and Hybrid Powertrain

Major mechanical changes are not currently expected. The facelift is likely to continue with Toyota's existing 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain options.

The strong-hybrid version currently combines a petrol engine with an electric motor and uses an e-CVT transmission. The hybrid setup is one of the key attractions of the Innova HyCross, particularly for buyers looking for improved fuel efficiency from a large three-row vehicle.

Specification Expected 2027 Innova HyCross
Petrol Engine 2.0-litre
Strong Hybrid 2.0-litre
Hybrid Transmission e-CVT
Drive Layout Front-Wheel Drive
Major Engine Change Not expected
