The Classic 350 remained the brand’s best-selling motorcycle, while the Meteor 350 and several larger-capacity models experienced declines.

According to the supplied model-wise sales figures, Royal Enfield recorded 1,21,326 units in domestic sales in September 2026, up 6.83% from 1,13,573 units in September 2025. Compared with August 2026, when domestic sales stood at 1,14,945 units, sales increased by 5.55%.

The results underline the importance of Royal Enfield’s 350cc motorcycles in the Indian market. While the Classic, Bullet and Hunter continued to attract buyers, the performance of the larger motorcycles remained mixed.

Classic 350 Remains Royal Enfield’s Best-Selling Motorcycle

The Classic 350 continued to lead Royal Enfield’s domestic sales in September 2026, recording 47,286 units. This represented a 16.90% increase over the 40,449 units sold in September 2025.

The motorcycle added 6,837 units year-on-year, making it the largest contributor to growth among the models listed in the supplied figures. Its continued popularity highlights demand for Royal Enfield’s traditional styling combined with modern updates.

The Bullet 350 secured second place with 28,529 units, up 10.09% from 25,915 units a year earlier. The model remains an important part of the company's portfolio, appealing to riders who prefer its classic design and familiar road presence.

The Hunter 350 also delivered a strong performance. Sales reached 25,692 units, an increase of 17.85% compared with September 2025. Its compact proportions and urban-friendly positioning help distinguish it from the more traditional Classic and Bullet models.

Together, these three motorcycles accounted for the majority of the sales recorded among the listed 350cc models.

Meteor 350 Sales Decline in September

The Meteor 350 experienced a weaker month, with sales falling to 10,772 units from 14,435 units in September 2025. This represented a year-on-year decline of 25.38%.

Unlike the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Hunter 350, the Meteor did not contribute to the reported growth in the 350cc lineup. The figures show that sales momentum differed considerably even among motorcycles sharing the same broad engine-capacity category.

The reasons for the decline cannot be established from sales figures alone. Market demand, customer preferences, availability and competition can all influence individual model performance.

Despite the drop, the Meteor 350 remained a significant contributor to Royal Enfield's domestic volumes.

Himalayan Declines While Guerrilla 450 Grows

Royal Enfield's 450cc motorcycles delivered mixed results in September 2026.

The Himalayan recorded sales of 3,029 units, down 23.10% from 3,939 units in September 2025. It also registered a small month-on-month decline from 3,068 units in August 2026.

In contrast, the Guerrilla 450 recorded 1,871 units, growing 4.06% from 1,798 units a year earlier. Compared with August's 1,692 units, its sales increased by 10.58%.

The contrasting performances suggest that demand differed between the adventure-focused Himalayan and the road-oriented Guerrilla 450. However, the sales figures alone do not establish the reasons behind the difference.

The 450cc segment remains strategically important for Royal Enfield as the company serves riders seeking motorcycles beyond its traditional 350cc range.

650cc Motorcycles Record Mixed Performance

The larger-capacity motorcycles also delivered varied results during September.

The 650 Twins category recorded 2,888 units, declining 25.10% from 3,856 units in September 2025. Sales were also lower than August's 3,113 units.

The Super Meteor performed better on a year-on-year basis, registering 1,154 units compared with 1,101 units a year earlier. This represented growth of 4.81%. However, sales declined 21.28% from 1,466 units in August.

The Shotgun recorded 105 units, down 62.37% from 279 units in September 2025. Compared with August's 107 units, sales declined by 1.87%.

These results demonstrate that Royal Enfield's premium motorcycles did not follow a uniform trend. While the Super Meteor recorded annual growth, the other listed larger-capacity categories experienced declines.

350cc Motorcycles Continue to Drive Domestic Sales

The Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and Meteor 350 together recorded 1,12,279 units in September 2026, according to the supplied figures. This represented an increase of 9.43% over 1,02,600 units in September 2025.

The four motorcycles added 9,679 units year-on-year. Their combined performance was particularly important because growth in this group offset declines among several larger-capacity models.

The supplied figures put the four models' contribution at 92.54% of Royal Enfield's domestic sales. This highlights how strongly the brand's sales mix is weighted towards its 350cc motorcycles.

Sales Metric September 2026 September 2025 Change
Total domestic sales 1,21,326 1,13,573 +6.83%
Four listed 350cc models combined 1,12,279 1,02,600 +9.43%
Himalayan 3,029 3,939 -23.10%
Guerrilla 450 1,871 1,798 +4.06%

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: What to Expect Next

Royal Enfield's future product development is another area of interest for motorcycle enthusiasts. The Himalayan 750 has attracted attention as a potential larger-capacity addition to the Himalayan family, with expectations of a model aimed at touring and adventure riding.

However, the exact launch date, final specifications, price and India availability should be confirmed through an official announcement before being presented as established facts.

If launched, a larger Himalayan could expand Royal Enfield's presence in the premium adventure-touring segment and offer an alternative for riders seeking more performance for long-distance travel.

Conclusion

Royal Enfield's September 2026 model-wise sales figures highlight the continuing strength of its 350cc motorcycles. The Classic 350 remained the sales leader, while the Bullet 350 and Hunter 350 also recorded healthy year-on-year growth. The Meteor 350, Himalayan and several larger-capacity models, meanwhile, faced declines.

The overall trend shows that Royal Enfield's domestic volumes continue to depend heavily on its 350cc range. The performance of its 450cc and 650cc motorcycles will be worth watching in the coming months as the brand develops its premium portfolio.
