Hero, Harley-Davidson Deal to expand X440 in All New Model

Two big players in the bike industry have ties to expand existing model X440 motorcycle into all new variants. They have aim to launch it in all new developed and advance model to make happy its fan.  

This is going to be a great deal which involves design, development, and contract manufacturing, ensuring high standards from both companies. authorities said that the agreement is an "extension of existing collaboration to expand the X440 motorcycle into new variants and to develop and manufacture a new motorcycle,"

Hero MotoCorp and Harley Davidson partnership

Harley-Davidson, which was founded in 1903, left India in 2019 because of high import taxes and poor sales. However, they returned to India by teaming up with Hero MotoCorp. Now, Hero MotoCorp is in charge of making, selling, and servicing Harley motorcycles in India, including models like the X440, which is produced at their Neemrana factory.

The X440, priced between Rs 2.4 lakh and Rs 2.8 lakh, has attracted a lot of attention, making it a strong competitor to Royal Enfield in its market. This partnership has helped increase local production and also provided Harley-Davidson's global expertise, benefiting both companies as they work to meet the rising demand for premium motorcycles.

In 2023, Harley-Davidson earned $5.84 billion, while Hero MotoCorp reported revenues of Rs 37,455 crore for the financial year 2023-24 (FY24).

In addition, Hero sells its own model, the Mavrick, which contributed to the sales of 14,837 units in FY24.

For the quarter ending September 30, 2024, Hero MotoCorp reported a 5.6% increase in net profit, reaching Rs 1,063 crore, mainly due to higher demand from rural areas. Its consolidated revenue also grew by 10%, reaching Rs 10,482.93 crore.

During the recent festive season, the company achieved record-breaking retail sales of 1.6 million units, driven largely by heightened demand from rural markets.
