Bajaj Auto continued its strong sales momentum in August 2026, with the company's two-wheeler business witnessing substantial growth across both domestic and international markets. The company sold 4,43,748 two-wheelers during the month, compared with 3,41,887 units in August 2025, representing a 30% year-on-year increase.
The biggest contributor to this performance was Bajaj's export business. Overseas shipments increased significantly during the month, highlighting the company's strong presence across international markets.
Bajaj Auto's domestic two-wheeler sales also remained positive in August. The company recorded 2,01,898 units in the Indian market, compared with 1,84,109 units during the same month last year.
This translates into a 10% year-on-year increase, indicating continued demand for Bajaj's motorcycle portfolio in the domestic market.
The growth comes ahead of the important festive season, when motorcycle and scooter demand traditionally receives a boost. Stronger consumer activity during this period could provide further support to two-wheeler sales in the coming months.
Bajaj Auto's international business delivered an even stronger performance. The company exported 2,41,850 two-wheelers in August 2026, compared with 1,57,778 units in August 2025.
This represents a 53% year-on-year increase, with overseas shipments rising by more than 84,000 units in a single month.
Interestingly, Bajaj's exports were higher than its domestic two-wheeler volumes during August. International shipments accounted for more than half of the company's total two-wheeler sales for the month.
