Royal Enfield is continuing testing of its upcoming Himalayan 750, and the latest development has given motorcycle enthusiasts a closer idea of how the new adventure tourer could sound. A recent test sighting has captured the exhaust note of the upcoming 750cc motorcycle, revealing a deeper and more pronounced engine sound compared with the Himalayan 450.

The Himalayan 750 is expected to become Royal Enfield's flagship adventure motorcycle and will sit above the Himalayan 450 in the company's portfolio. The motorcycle has already been showcased in prototype form and has appeared in multiple test sightings.

Himalayan 750 Gets New 750cc Twin-Cylinder Engine

The biggest highlight of the upcoming motorcycle is its new 750cc twin-cylinder engine. The powertrain is expected to share its basic architecture with Royal Enfield's existing 650cc parallel-twin engine, but with increased displacement and other mechanical changes.

Official power and torque figures have not yet been announced. However, reports and test-bike analysis suggest that the engine could produce around 55 bhp, while torque could be in the 60-65 Nm range. A six-speed gearbox is also expected.

Deep Exhaust Note Captured

The latest test footage provides an early impression of the Himalayan 750's exhaust character. The motorcycle appears to produce a deep and bass-heavy note, particularly at idle and during acceleration. The test bike uses a single upswept exhaust end-can, unlike some other Royal Enfield 750 prototypes that have been seen with twin exhaust outlets.

The exhaust is positioned high, which is in line with the motorcycle's adventure-touring design and could help provide better clearance when riding over rough terrain or through water crossings.

New Features and Hardware Expected

The Himalayan 750 is expected to receive a new chassis and suspension setup developed specifically for the larger motorcycle. Test bikes have been spotted with adjustable suspension, dual front disc brakes and a larger adventure-oriented body.

Other expected features include cruise control, traction control, TPMS and a circular TFT instrument display. Recent observations also suggest that Royal Enfield could offer different wheel configurations, with both alloy-wheel and spoke-wheel versions being considered.

The motorcycle is also expected to feature a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel setup, which would give it a more road-oriented character than the 21-inch front wheel used by the Himalayan 450.

Expected Launch and Price

Royal Enfield has not yet announced the final launch date or price of the Himalayan 750. The production-spec motorcycle is expected to be revealed around EICMA 2026, with an India launch potentially following in late 2026 or early 2027. Some industry reports currently point towards an India launch in early 2027.

The expected price is around ₹4.5 lakh, although the final ex-showroom price will be announced by Royal Enfield closer to launch.
