Skoda Introduces Two New Colour Options for Slavia Monte Carlo Edition
Skoda Auto India has expanded the Slavia Monte Carlo edition with two new dual-tone colour options — Shimla Green and Steel Grey. The new shades are introduced to enhance the sedan’s sporty and premium appeal, with the special edition being limited to just 200 units. The updated Monte Carlo will be available across both the 1.0-litre automatic and 1.5-litre DSG variants.
The Slavia Monte Carlo continues to carry its signature sporty styling, featuring a blacked-out exterior theme, exclusive Monte Carlo design elements, and a black-and-red themed cabin. The latest update focuses only on improving the visual appeal of the sedan, while the mechanical specifications and performance remain unchanged.
According to Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, the Monte Carlo edition has received strong customer interest due to its distinctive design and connection with Skoda’s motorsport heritage. The company aims to further strengthen the appeal of its sedan range by introducing more exclusive options for customers.
The Slavia Monte Carlo continues with two turbocharged petrol engine choices. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI engine produces 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine generates 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, and comes with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The larger engine also features Active Cylinder Technology, which helps improve fuel efficiency by temporarily deactivating two cylinders under light driving conditions, along with plasma-coated cylinder liners for better heat management.
The Monte Carlo name holds a special place in Skoda’s history, inspired by the brand’s participation in the legendary Rallye Monte Carlo that began in 1912. In India, Skoda has extended the Monte Carlo identity across models such as the Slavia and Kushaq, offering customers a sportier alternative within the lineup.
Skoda Auto India currently sells four models — Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq — through a network of more than 340 touchpoints across 189 cities. With continuous product updates and special editions, the company is focusing on strengthening its position in the Indian automotive market.
