Bajaj Auto is preparing to update its Pulsar NS400Z with a new 5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster. The updated motorcycle has reportedly started reaching dealerships ahead of its official launch in India. The new display will bring several connected and navigation-related features to Bajaj's flagship Pulsar model.
The upcoming update appears to be focused mainly on technology and instrumentation. The motorcycle is expected to retain its existing mechanical setup, meaning there are no major engine or chassis changes associated with this update.
The biggest addition is the new 5-inch TFT colour display. It supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and can provide smartphone-related functions through Bajaj's connected technology. The system also supports Google Maps mirroring through the company's smartphone application.
Android users can also access turn-by-turn navigation, while the display provides music controls, call alerts and smartphone notifications. Riders can additionally store important digital documents such as a driving licence, insurance and registration certificate.
The motorcycle also gets revised switchgear to operate the additional functions available through the new TFT unit.
The upcoming TFT-equipped Pulsar NS400Z is expected to continue with the existing 349.13cc engine, which produces around 40.6 hp and 33.2 Nm. The current motorcycle also uses a six-speed gearbox and dual-channel ABS.
The existing NS400Z has a 320mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc brake, along with 17-inch wheels. Its kerb weight is around 176kg and ground clearance stands at 165mm.

Bajaj has not yet announced the official launch date or pricing for the TFT-equipped Pulsar NS400Z. The current NS400Z is priced at around ₹1.86 lakh ex-showroom, and the new technology could result in a small price increase.
With the addition of the TFT display, the Pulsar NS400Z will offer a more technology-focused package while retaining its existing performance-oriented mechanical setup
