Mahindra has expanded its Veero light commercial vehicle range in India with the launch of the new Veero 1.1 XXL CNG and an upgraded Veero Diesel. The new CNG model has been developed primarily for intra-city transportation, while the diesel range receives several new comfort, technology and connectivity features.
The Veero 1.1 XXL CNG is priced from ₹8.25 lakh ex-showroom, while the upgraded diesel range starts at ₹8.29 lakh ex-showroom. The new CNG model will be available to customers from September 20, 2026, whereas the upgraded diesel models are already available.
| Variant | Price (Ex-Showroom) |
|---|---|
| Veero 1.1 XXL SD V2 CNG | ₹8.25 Lakh |
| Veero 1.1 XXL SD V4 CNG | ₹8.55 Lakh |
Mahindra states that the Pastel Riversand colour attracts an additional ₹5,000 premium.
One of the biggest highlights of the new Veero 1.1 XXL CNG is its combination of payload capacity and cargo-bed length.
The pickup gets a 1.1-tonne payload capacity along with a 2,900mm (9.5-foot) cargo deck. This setup is intended to help operators carry higher-volume goods while maintaining a relatively compact footprint for city operations.
The vehicle also gets a 5.1-metre turning radius, which should make it easier to manoeuvre through narrow roads, crowded markets and tight loading areas.
The new Veero 1.1 XXL CNG uses a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine.

| Cargo Deck | 2,900 mm |
| Turning Radius | 5.1 m |
| Certified Efficiency | 21.4 km/kg |
| Claimed Combined Range | 450+ km |
Mahindra claims an ARAI-certified efficiency of 21.4 km/kg and a combined petrol+CNG driving range of more than 450 km. This makes the new version particularly suited to businesses that require frequent urban deliveries.
The Veero 1.1 XXL CNG has been positioned for applications where frequent stops, higher cargo volume and operating costs are important considerations.
Potential applications include:
The combination of a 1.1-tonne payload, long cargo deck and compact turning radius is aimed at improving usability in congested urban environments.
Alongside the CNG launch, Mahindra has upgraded the Veero Diesel with several additional features.
The biggest change is the introduction of a 26.03cm (10.25-inch) touchscreen infotainment system. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while voice commands with multiple language options are also available.
The diesel range also gets cruise control, adding convenience for operators who regularly undertake longer journeys.
Mahindra continues to highlight several passenger-car-like features in the Veero.
Depending on the version, the vehicle offers:
These additions make the Veero more feature-rich compared with traditional small commercial vehicles.
The upgraded Veero Diesel also receives LNT technology. LNT, or Lean NOx Trap, is an emissions-control technology designed to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions.
This approach is different from diesel systems that rely on an SCR setup with a separate DEF/AdBlue tank. Therefore, the upgraded Veero diesel does not require the same DEF-refilling routine associated with SCR-equipped commercial vehicles.
Mahindra has also enhanced the Veero's connected-vehicle package through its iMAXX platform.
The system provides more than 50 connected features, including:
Remote AC control is among the newly highlighted additions, providing additional convenience for commercial operators.
The upgraded diesel range is offered in several body and payload configurations.

With the new Veero 1.1 XXL CNG, Mahindra is expanding its alternative-fuel commercial vehicle portfolio with a model focused on urban logistics. Its 1.1-tonne payload, 2,900mm cargo deck, 21.4 km/kg claimed efficiency and 450+ km combined range make it particularly relevant for last-mile and intra-city commercial operations.
At the same time, the upgraded Veero Diesel gets a substantial equipment boost, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, cruise control, reverse camera, driver airbag, power windows and enhanced iMAXX connected features.
The latest update therefore gives commercial-vehicle buyers more choice between CNG for city-focused operations and diesel for broader operating requirements, while making the Veero range considerably more feature-rich
