Tata Motors has revealed the interior of the upcoming Tata Aeris through a new teaser ahead of its India launch. The new compact sedan is scheduled to launch on September 25, 2026, and the latest preview provides a detailed look at its dashboard layout, cabin colour scheme and technology features.

The Aeris gets a beige-and-grey interior theme and a dashboard layout that shares several design elements with the recently updated Tata Tiago. However, the sedan receives its own cabin treatment and a number of modern features, including a 360-degree camera and wireless charging.

Tata Aeris Gets Beige and Grey Cabin

The latest teaser shows a lighter cabin colour scheme, with beige and grey elements across the dashboard, door panels and seats. This gives the Aeris a more spacious visual appearance compared with the darker interiors commonly seen in this segment.

The dashboard features a fabric-inspired textured finish, while the centre portion houses a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system above the central AC vents. A row of physical controls is positioned underneath the screen.

A two-spoke multifunction steering wheel and fully digital instrument cluster are also visible in the teaser.

Tata Aeris Interior Features

360-Degree Camera With Dashcam Function

One of the biggest technology highlights revealed in the teaser is the 360-degree camera system. The infotainment screen displays multiple views from around the car, helping the driver monitor the vehicle's surroundings while parking and manoeuvring.

The camera system is also shown with dashcam functionality, allowing the vehicle's cameras to be used for recording as well as providing a surround-view display. This could make the feature particularly useful for urban driving and tight parking spaces.

Wireless Charging and Other Features

The Aeris teaser also reveals a wireless charging tray, cruise control, automatic climate control, centre-console cup holders and a front armrest with additional storage.

The car is also expected to offer features such as Type-C USB ports, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable ORVMs and connected-car technology, although variant-wise availability will be confirmed at launch.

Rotary Gear Selector and Paddle Shifters

The automatic version of the Aeris gets a rotary drive selector instead of a conventional gear lever. Paddle shifters can also be seen behind the steering wheel in the teaser.

The setup indicates that Tata is aiming to give the compact sedan a more modern cabin experience, particularly on its higher-spec automatic variants.

Tata Aeris Engine and CNG Option

The Aeris is expected to continue with Tata's 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing around 84 bhp and 113 Nm. Transmission options are expected to include a five-speed manual and five-speed AMT.

A factory-fitted CNG version is also expected. The CNG powertrain is expected to produce around 72 bhp and 96.5 Nm, with both manual and AMT options. Final specifications will be confirmed at launch.

Tata Aeris Launch and Rivals

The Tata Aeris will be launched in India on September 25, 2026. It is positioned as Tata's new compact sedan and is expected to replace the Tigor in the company's lineup.

After launch, the Aeris will compete in the compact sedan segment against models such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.
