2W Sales December 2024

It seems something unexpected in the 2W Sales December 2024 report. There are lots of ups and downs that can be seen in Two-wheeler sales in December 2024. Hero, Honda and TVS successfully sold more than 2 lakh units. Hero could able to hold its position at the top of the pyramid of Bike sales by selling 2,94,152 units in December. Hero: 2,94,152 units

Hero maintained its top position despite selling half of its usual volume. Compared to November 2024 (4,39,777 units), sales dropped by 33.11%. Sales also decreased by 22.15% compared to December 2023 (3,77,842 units). The company has several upcoming launches, including two 250cc bikes, the new Xpulse 210, and two new Xoom scooters.

Hero MotoCorp Sales 

Honda: 2,70,919 units

Honda trails Hero by less than 23,000 units. Compared to its November 2024 sales (4,32,888 units), Honda saw a 37.42% decline. It also reported a smaller 5.31% drop compared to December 2023 sales (2,86,101 units). Honda plans to enter the EV market with two new electric scooters and will also launch big bikes in India this year.

Best Selling Two Wheeler 2024

TVS: 2,15,075 units 

Alongside Hero and Honda, TVS sold over two lakh units in December 2024. However, it reported a 29.56% decline compared to November 2024 (3,05,323 units). There was a slight 0.04% increase compared to December 2023 sales (2,14,988 units). TVS unveiled a new 300cc engine late last year, and new bikes, including an ADV, will be launched based on it. Notably, these sales figures exclude the iQube electric scooter, which is the second bestselling EV in India.

TVS Motor December Sales

Bajaj: 1,28,335 units

Bajaj Auto retained its fourth position, reporting a 36.97% decline compared to its November 2024 sales (2,03,611 units). It also saw an 18.97% decrease compared to December 2023 (1,58,370 units). Bajaj plans to launch new models, including the KTM 390 Adventure, 390 Enduro, and 390 SMC R this year. Notably, these sales figures include the Chetak electric scooter, which has become the bestselling EV in India, surpassing Ola Electric.

Suzuki: 78,834 units

Suzuki was the only company to report increases in both month-on-month and year-on-year sales. It saw a 6.40% increase compared to November 2024 sales (78,333 units) and a 14.21% rise compared to December 2023 sales (69,025 units). Suzuki may also enter the EV market with its e-Burgman scooter.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Sales

Royal Enfield: 67,891 units

Royal Enfield reported a 6% decrease compared to its November 2024 sales of 72,236 units. However, it saw an 18.50% increase compared to its December 2023 sales (57,291 units). The company is working on a new portfolio featuring a larger twin-cylinder engine than the current 648cc mill, with at least one new model debuting this year.
