Bajaj’s First Adventure Bike Set for 2026 Launch, India Debut Expected by Diwali

Bajaj Auto is preparing to enter the adventure motorcycle segment with its first-ever ADV bike, and the new motorcycle is expected to make its debut in 2026. The upcoming model has been spotted testing multiple times and is likely to be launched in Brazil first, followed by an India launch.

Once introduced in India, Bajaj’s new adventure motorcycle is expected to compete against established models such as the Hero Xpulse 210, Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX.

Bajaj Adventure Bike Launch Timeline

Bajaj Brazil Executive Director Waldyr Ferreira has indicated that the company’s new trail motorcycle could arrive by December 2026. While an exact launch date has not been confirmed, his comments suggest that the motorcycle could be introduced as a year-end product.

The India launch could take place earlier, with the motorcycle potentially arriving around the Diwali 2026 festive season.

Bajaj has already trademarked the ‘Trekker’ name, leading to speculation that the upcoming ADV could be sold under this name. However, the company has not officially confirmed the production name yet.

The new motorcycle is already present in Brazil for development, parts validation and homologation work. Brazil is also expected to be an important market for the new adventure model.

Bajaj ADV Bike: Design and Features

Test versions of the upcoming Bajaj ADV have been spotted on Indian roads, providing several clues about its design and equipment.

The motorcycle features a typical adventure-bike design with a front beak, fork gaiters and a tall stance. The test motorcycle also gets wire-spoke wheels, which are expected to improve its suitability for rough and uneven terrain.

The production version could use a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, although Bajaj is yet to confirm the final wheel specifications.

The fuel tank appears to have a sculpted design with prominent extensions, giving the motorcycle a muscular appearance. A long, single-piece seat provides space for both the rider and pillion, while the riding position appears relatively upright and touring-friendly.

Another notable feature is the high-mounted exhaust, which is commonly associated with adventure motorcycles and helps provide better ground clearance over rough surfaces.

Suspension and Braking Hardware

The Bajaj ADV is expected to use a conventional suspension setup, with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Braking hardware is likely to include disc brakes on both wheels, while the motorcycle could also feature switchable ABS modes to improve control on different surfaces.

The test bikes also appear to offer a relatively generous amount of ground clearance, which should help the motorcycle handle broken roads, trails and light off-road sections.

Bajaj ADV Engine and Performance

Bajaj has not yet revealed the engine specifications of its upcoming adventure motorcycle. However, the new ADV could potentially use a version of the 250cc air/oil-cooled engine from the Pulsar N250.

In the Pulsar N250, this engine produces around 24.5 PS and 21.5 Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed constant-mesh gearbox. Bajaj could make suitable changes to the engine and gearing to match the requirements of an adventure motorcycle.

The final specifications, performance figures and gearbox setup will be confirmed closer to the motorcycle’s official launch.

Expected Bajaj ADV Price

Bajaj could position its first adventure motorcycle competitively in the Indian market. The expected starting price is around ₹2 lakh, although the final ex-showroom price is likely to be announced closer to launch.

If priced competitively, the motorcycle could become an attractive alternative to the Hero Xpulse 210, Yezdi Adventure and Suzuki V-Strom SX.

Bajaj Adventure Bike: What to Expect

The upcoming motorcycle will mark Bajaj Auto’s entry into a segment where demand for affordable adventure and touring motorcycles continues to grow. With a likely 250cc engine, spoke wheels, long-travel-oriented hardware, upright ergonomics and a touring-focused design, the new ADV could appeal to both daily riders and adventure-touring enthusiasts.

Bajaj is expected to reveal more details in the coming months, with the India launch potentially scheduled around Diwali 2026. The motorcycle could also be sold under the Trekker name, although official confirmation is still awaited
