2026 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 Gets New Features and Styling Updates

Royal Enfield has introduced a subtle update for the 2026 Continental GT 650, adding new equipment and cosmetic changes while retaining the motorcycle’s existing mechanical package. The updated cafe racer is now reaching dealerships in India, with prices ranging from ₹3,58,427 to ₹3,87,667 (ex-showroom).

The update comes as Royal Enfield continues development of the upcoming Continental GT 750, which is expected to sit above the existing GT 650 in the company’s performance motorcycle lineup.

2026 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: What’s New?

The 2026 Continental GT 650 retains its familiar cafe-racer styling but receives a few notable changes. One of the most visible updates is the black-finished instrument cowl, giving the motorcycle a sportier appearance.

Royal Enfield has also upgraded the turn indicators. The motorcycle now gets circular LED turn indicators, replacing the previous setup and adding a more premium touch while improving visibility.

Another useful addition is a Type-C USB fast-charging port, allowing riders to conveniently charge compatible smartphones and other devices while riding.

The motorcycle continues with its signature twin-cylinder configuration, making it one of the more affordable twin-cylinder cafe racers available in the Indian market.

2026 GT 650 Colour Options and Prices

Royal Enfield is offering the updated Continental GT 650 in several colour and finish combinations.

Variant / Colour

Ex-Showroom Price

Rocker Red

₹ 3,58,427

British Racing Green

₹ 3,58,427

Apex Grey

₹ 3,80,921

Mr Clean

₹ 3,87,667

The Rocker Red colour is a new addition to the range. It also receives the blacked-out treatment previously associated with the Apex Grey variant.

Blacked-Out Finish for Rocker Red

The new Rocker Red variant gets a black-finished engine bay and exhaust system, giving it a more contemporary and sporty appearance. Apex Grey continues with the same blacked-out treatment.

Both variants are equipped with black-finished cast alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, offering a practical advantage over tube-type setups.

The British Racing Green and Mr Clean variants take a different approach. They feature polished engine finishes and classic wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tyres, retaining the more traditional appearance associated with the Continental GT.

Wheels, Suspension and Braking Hardware

The 2026 Continental GT 650 continues with 18-inch wheels at both ends. The motorcycle uses a 100-section front tyre and 130-section rear tyre.

Suspension duties are handled by RSU telescopic front forks with fork gaiters and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers.

Braking hardware includes disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle also continues with LED headlights, while the tail lamp remains halogen.

Other key equipment includes:

  • Adjustable levers
  • Digital trip computer
  • Analogue-style instrument cluster
  • Twin exhaust system
  • Clip-on handlebars
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • LED headlight
  • Gas-charged rear twin shocks

The clip-on handlebar maintains the committed riding position expected from a traditional cafe racer.

648cc Twin-Cylinder Engine Continues

There are no mechanical changes for the 2026 model year. The Continental GT 650 continues to use Royal Enfield’s 648cc parallel-twin engine.

The engine produces 47.4 PS of maximum power and 52.3 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.

The motorcycle has a 174 mm ground clearance, an 804 mm seat height and a kerb weight of 214 kg.

2026 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Summary

With the 2026 update, Royal Enfield has focused on improving the Continental GT 650 through styling enhancements, new LED indicators and a Type-C USB charger, rather than making changes to its engine or chassis.

The new Rocker Red option and revised blacked-out finish also give buyers more choice. With its 648cc twin-cylinder engine, committed riding position and classic cafe-racer design, the updated Continental GT 650 continues to offer a distinctive combination of performance and retro styling in its segment
