Suzuki has unveiled the refreshed 2026 XL7 Facelift at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026. The updated MPV receives a revised exterior, new technology features, and a more premium cabin while retaining its existing powertrain options. Since the XL7 shares its platform with the Maruti XL6 and Ertiga sold in India, many of these updates are expected to make their way to the Indian models in the future.
The Suzuki XL7 is positioned as a more rugged, seven-seat version of the XL6. While the XL7 follows a 2+3+2 seating layout, the XL6 offered in India features a premium 2+2+2 configuration. Both vehicles are based on the Ertiga platform and share several mechanical and design elements.
The most noticeable changes are at the front, where the XL7 facelift gets a larger black-finished grille with a bolder design, giving the MPV a stronger SUV-inspired appearance. The grille also features redesigned inserts, while the front bumper has been reshaped for a sharper look. The chrome Suzuki emblem remains centrally positioned.
The facelift also introduces new C-shaped fog lamp housings. However, the LED headlamps, DRLs, bonnet, side profile, and rear styling remain largely unchanged. Other highlights include black-finished 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, muscular wheel arches, and rugged body cladding. Suzuki has also added a new dual-tone Ice Grayish Blue with Black exterior colour option for the Indonesian market.
Inside, every variant of the XL7 facelift now comes equipped with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. This is an upgrade over the 7-inch unit currently available in the Maruti XL6.
The cabin also receives new dashboard and door trim finishes for a more premium feel. Higher variants are equipped with a 360-degree camera and a Digital Video Recorder (DVR), while the Arkamys sound system continues to be offered.
Mechanically, the XL7 facelift continues with the familiar 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine. Higher trims are paired with Suzuki's SHVS mild-hybrid technology to improve fuel efficiency.
In India, the Maruti XL6 is powered by the newer 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine, producing 103 PS and 139 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The XL6 is also available with a factory-fitted CNG option, delivering 88 PS and 121.5 Nm of torque through a 5-speed manual gearbox.
With the Indonesian XL7 now receiving a significant update, similar styling revisions and feature additions are expected to arrive on the Maruti XL6 and Ertiga in India. While there is no official launch timeline yet, the refreshed models could debut later this year with updated styling, additional equipment, and a slight increase in pricing while retaining the existing engine options
