Tata Motors has expanded the Sierra range in India with the introduction of the new Sierra Legend Series. Prices for the new series start at ₹11.99 lakh and go up to ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The new range adds more equipment to the lower and mid-spec versions while giving buyers additional choices across petrol and diesel powertrains.

The Legend Series is offered in five trims: Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L(O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. These variants are positioned alongside the existing Sierra range rather than replacing it. The new additions also make the price progression between different Sierra variants more closely spaced.

More Features Across the Sierra Range

The main focus of the Legend Series is to bring several premium features to variants positioned below the existing top-end versions. The Smart+ L gets leatherette seats and interior trim, steering-mounted controls, auto-folding ORVMs, passive entry and start, wheel covers and roof rails.

Moving to the Pure L, buyers get a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear camera, eight-speaker audio system, cruise control, tyre-pressure monitoring system, rear wiper and washer, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Pure L(O) adds features such as a panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

The Pure+ L takes the comfort equipment further with ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver's seat, thigh-support extension, Boss Mode, dual-zone climate control and leatherette upholstery.

At the top of the Legend Series range, the Adventure+ L adds a 360-degree camera, frequency-dependent dampers, terrain modes, dual 12.3-inch screens, front parking sensors, reclining rear seats, ambient lighting, a cooled glovebox and wireless charging.

Tata Sierra Legend Series Powertrain Options

The new Sierra Legend Series continues with Tata's existing 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Manual and automatic transmissions are available depending on the variant.

The Pure+ L also becomes the entry point for the 160hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol automatic in the Legend Series. Meanwhile, the Adventure+ L gets a wider choice of powertrains, including the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol automatic. Tata has also introduced a new 1.5-litre petrol automatic option for the standard Adventure+ variant alongside the Legend Series launch.

Safety equipment continues to include six airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP) and all-wheel disc brakes across the range.

Tata Sierra Gets More Variant Choices

With the Legend Series addition, Tata has significantly expanded the Sierra's internal-combustion-engine variant lineup. The new trims are designed to reduce the price gaps between existing versions while making features such as larger infotainment screens, premium upholstery, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof and advanced parking technology available at different price points.

The Tata Sierra Legend Series starts at ₹11.99 lakh, giving buyers another entry point into the SUV while retaining the standard Sierra range alongside it.
