Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 29,521 vehicles in the Indian market during October 2026, compared with 40,257 units in October 2025.
This represents a decline of 10,736 units, or approximately 26.67%.
However, the month-on-month performance was considerably better. Domestic sales increased from 25,027 units in September 2026 to 29,521 units in October, registering growth of nearly 18%.
The improvement suggests that Toyota experienced stronger domestic dispatches during October, despite remaining below its year-ago sales level.
Toyota's export performance remained under pressure in October 2026.
The company exported 839 vehicles during the month, compared with 2,635 units in October 2025. This represents a decline of approximately 68.16%.
Exports also dropped sharply compared with September 2026, when Toyota shipped 3,191 vehicles.
As a result, the improvement in domestic sales was partially offset by lower international shipments, limiting the growth in total monthly volumes.
Despite the decline in October, Toyota maintained positive cumulative sales growth during the first ten months of 2026.
The company recorded total sales of 3,25,274 units between January and October 2026, compared with 3,15,716 units during the corresponding period in 2025.
This represents approximately 3% year-on-year growth.

Toyota's October 2026 sales figures highlight the difference between short-term recovery and annual growth.
Although domestic sales improved nearly 18% compared with September, the company still recorded a substantial decline against October 2025.
Lower export volumes also affected the overall monthly performance. However, cumulative sales growth of approximately 3% during January–October indicates that Toyota's broader business performance remains positive.
The coming months will be important for the company as it looks to improve domestic demand, strengthen export volumes and maintain its position in India's competitive passenger vehicle market.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded total sales of 30,360 units in October 2026, including 29,521 domestic units and 839 exports.

With cumulative sales reaching 3,25,274 units in the first ten months of 2026, Toyota continues to maintain positive overall growth despite the October slowdown.
