Top 10 Indian Two-Wheeler Exporters in Q2 2026

India’s Two-Wheeler Export Race: Boxer Leads as Pulsar, Apache and FZ Gain Ground in Q2 2026

2026-08-12

India’s Two-Wheeler Exports Accelerate in Q2 2026 as Boxer and Star City Stay on Top

India's two-wheeler manufacturers recorded a strong performance in overseas markets during the second quarter of 2026. Between April and June, manufacturers shipped 15,50,852 two-wheelers, compared with 11,33,695 units during the same period last year. This represents a 36.80% year-on-year increase, with exports rising by more than 4.17 lakh units.

Bajaj Boxer Leads the Export Pack

The Bajaj Boxer remained India's biggest two-wheeler export model by a considerable margin. Overseas shipments reached 3,37,314 units, almost double the 1,60,638 units recorded in Q2 2025. With exports growing by 109.98%, the Boxer alone contributed around 21.75% of India's total two-wheeler shipments during the quarter.

The TVS Star City secured the second position after recording exports of 2,72,507 units. Its volumes increased by 41.62% compared with 1,92,416 units a year earlier, giving the model approximately 17.57% of the overall export tally.

Pulsar and CT Maintain Strong Overseas Demand

Bajaj Auto also occupied the next two positions on the list. The Pulsar ranked third with 1,33,349 units, representing 10.96% growth over the previous year.

The Bajaj CT followed with 1,01,856 units, registering a 30.94% annual increase. Together, these models underline the continued popularity of affordable commuter motorcycles in international markets.

Among scooters, the Honda Dio was the leading exporter. It recorded 57,484 units, marking a 71.48% improvement over Q2 2025. The Honda Navi followed with 53,004 units, maintaining a steady presence overseas.

Hero Xtreme Records Exceptional Growth

Some models outside the traditional export leaders delivered much stronger percentage gains.

The Hero Xtreme was among the standout performers, with exports jumping from 4,199 units to 34,726 units. That represents an increase of roughly 727% year-on-year.

Honda's CB 200X also saw an impressive turnaround. Exports climbed 766% to 13,623 units, while the Hero Xoom reached 13,573 units after registering growth of 287%.

Other established models also moved higher. Honda Shine exports rose 67.71% to 26,714 units, while Hero HF Deluxe shipments increased 62.25% to 25,642 units.

TVS and Honda Expand Their Export Footprint

The export performance was not limited to motorcycles. TVS Ntorq shipments crossed the 30,000-unit mark after growing by nearly 40%.

Bajaj-produced Triumph motorcycles also posted healthy numbers, with exports reaching 8,656 units, up 39.75% year-on-year.

Honda's premium motorcycle range also gained traction in selected markets. H'ness CB350 exports reached 3,840 units, while the CB Unicorn recorded 7,344 units. The newer CB 125 Hornet added another 7,002 units during the quarter.

Electric Scooters Begin Making a Bigger Contribution

Electric two-wheelers are still a relatively small part of India's overall export volume, but their overseas presence is gradually expanding.

The TVS iQube recorded exports of 3,224 units, nearly six times its volume from a year earlier. Bajaj Chetak shipments stood at 2,644 units, while Ather exported 1,310 units from its 450 range and another 1,111 Rizta scooters.

Honda's Activa Electric was also exported during the quarter, although volumes remained at an early-stage three units.

Royal Enfield Sees Uneven Export Results

Royal Enfield's performance varied across its international line-up.

The Classic 350 recorded 6,957 exports, down 27.61%, while Himalayan shipments declined 12.89% to 5,664 units. Hunter 350, Super Meteor and Guerrilla 450 also experienced lower export volumes.

The 650 Twins, however, moved in the opposite direction, with exports increasing 9.22% to 4,040 units.

Yamaha and KTM Continue to Perform Overseas

Yamaha's FZ range remained one of the stronger export performers, registering 43,962 units during Q2 2026. Its Gixxer and Gixxer 250 models, however, recorded lower shipment numbers.

KTM exports increased 22.17% to 16,622 units, while Suzuki's Burgman and Access scooters continued to strengthen their position in international markets.

India's Export Mix Is Becoming More Diverse

The latest figures show that India's two-wheeler export business is expanding beyond traditional commuter motorcycles.

Models such as the Boxer, Star City, CT and Pulsar continue to generate the bulk of overseas volumes, but scooters, premium motorcycles and electric vehicles are gradually becoming more important contributors.

The strong overall growth in Q2 2026 also highlights the increasing role of India as a manufacturing and export hub for two-wheelers, with manufacturers catering to a much wider range of international markets and customer preferences.
