BMW India has brought back its flagship coupe SUV to the Indian market with the launch of the new X6. Widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the coupe SUV segment, the latest BMW X6 returns with a powerful 4.4-litre V8 engine that churns out an impressive 530 horsepower, making it one of the most performance-focused SUVs in its class.
The 2026 BMW X6 has been introduced in India exclusively in the top-spec M60i xDrive trim, carrying an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.78 crore. BMW refers to the X6 M60i xDrive as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC), highlighting its blend of SUV practicality and coupe-inspired styling. The model is brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), making it a fully imported offering.
BMW offers the new X6 M60i xDrive in six exterior paint options: Aventurine Red, Manhattan Metallic, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Isle of Man Green. On the inside, the SUV comes standard with Sensafin upholstery, while buyers can opt for premium interior finishes in Silverstone, Tacora Red/Black, Black, or Cognac. One notable design highlight is that the newly launched X6 M60i xDrive retains BMW's more traditional kidney grille, avoiding the oversized grille design seen on some of the brand's recent models.
Up front, the X6 features BMW’s signature kidney grille in a conventional design, complemented by several gloss black exterior accents that enhance its sporty character. The aggressive front fascia is highlighted by large air intakes, sleek adaptive LED headlights, and distinctive arrow-shaped LED daytime running lights. Viewed from the side, the coupe SUV stands out with its striking sloping roofline, black-finished ORVMs, and large 21-inch M Light alloy wheels that further reinforce its athletic stance.
The rear of the new X6 is equally eye-catching, featuring slim LED tail lamps, a trapezoidal quad-exhaust setup, and contrasting body-coloured inserts on the rear bumper. Other design highlights include muscular rear haunches, vertical air channels, a subtle roof spoiler, and prominent X6 and M60i badging. BMW also equips the SUV with the M Sport Package Pro as standard, adding red-painted brake calipers, M-branded seat belts, and several exclusive sporty styling elements.
Inside, the BMW X6 M60i xDrive features a thoroughly modern cabin, headlined by a curved display setup that combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster under a single glass panel. The premium interior is further enhanced with fine wood trim, gloss metallic accents, and an illuminated ambient light bar featuring ///M branding. Comfort and convenience are taken care of with ventilated front seats with memory function, a Harman Kardon premium sound system, a head-up display, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), an Alcantara headliner, soft-close doors, and a host of other luxury features.
In terms of dimensions, the BMW X6 M60i xDrive measures 4,960 mm in length, 2,004 mm in width, and 1,700 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,975 mm. It offers 216 mm of ground clearance and a generous 580-litre boot capacity. The performance SUV also comes equipped with an M Sport exhaust, rear-wheel steering for improved agility, BMW’s intelligent xDrive all-wheel-drive system, an M Sport differential, Active M Suspension, and M Sport brakes.
Powering the X6 M60i xDrive is a new 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system for additional torque assistance. The powertrain produces an impressive 530 bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque, sending power to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. This setup makes the X6 M60i xDrive one of the most powerful SUVs in its segment, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 4.3 seconds, while the electronically limited top speed stands at 250 km/h.
