Tata Motors has expanded the Sierra SUV lineup in India with the introduction of the new Sierra Dark Edition. The special edition is available at an introductory starting price of ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and brings a black-themed exterior along with a contrasting violet-themed cabin.

With the addition of the Dark Edition and the recently introduced Legend Series, the Tata Sierra range now comprises 65 variants across different trims, engines and transmission combinations.

Tata Sierra Dark: Exterior and Interior Changes

The biggest update on the Sierra Dark is its styling. The SUV gets a new Friesian Black exterior finish, while the chrome elements, Tata badges and alloy wheels receive a darker treatment. The SUV also gets #DARK badging on the front fenders.

Inside, Tata has introduced a Violet Eclipse theme. The cabin features black upholstery complemented by purple chrome detailing on areas such as the AC vents, door handles and other interior elements. Purple stitching further differentiates the Dark Edition from the standard Sierra.

Six Trims Offered With Sierra Dark

The Sierra Dark Edition is available across six trims: Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L, Adventure+ L, Accomplished and Accomplished+. It is positioned as a styling package rather than a mechanical upgrade, with the engine and transmission options remaining unchanged.

The Dark Edition is offered with the Sierra's 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, depending on the selected variant. Transmission choices include manual and automatic options.

Sierra Lineup Now Has 65 Variants

Following the latest expansion, Tata Sierra's portfolio has grown to 65 variants. The range combines the standard Sierra lineup with the Legend Series and the new Dark Edition.

The Dark Edition itself contributes 23 engine and transmission combinations to the overall lineup. Tata is offering the darker styling package from the Pure L trim upwards, giving buyers the option to choose the design treatment across multiple equipment levels rather than limiting it to the top-spec version.

The Tata Sierra Dark Edition is therefore primarily aimed at buyers looking for a more distinctive appearance, while retaining the existing Sierra powertrain and equipment options
