Electric commercial vehicle manufacturer Youdha has introduced a special limited-edition version of its EPOD electric three-wheeler. Called the EPOD-Bharat, the new variant was unveiled on August 17, 2026, at the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The limited-edition model combines electric mobility with traditional Indian artwork, featuring a hand-painted exterior inspired by Warli art. The design highlights themes including women, rural life, nature and community.
The most distinctive element of the EPOD-Bharat is its exterior artwork. The body has been hand-painted using Warli art, a traditional tribal art form associated with Maharashtra's Sahyadri region.
The artwork uses characteristic geometric patterns and depicts aspects of everyday Indian life, including rural communities, women, nature and social traditions. With this special edition, Youdha aims to bring a traditional Indian art form onto a modern electric mobility platform.
The EPOD-Bharat is being presented as a tribute to Indian women and artisans, while also giving the company's electric three-wheeler a distinctive visual identity.
Underneath its specially designed exterior, the EPOD-Bharat continues to use the existing L5 electric three-wheeler platform.
The vehicle is equipped with a 6 kW electric motor that produces 50 Nm of torque. It draws power from an 11.8 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery pack.
According to Youdha, the electric three-wheeler offers a certified range of 227 km on a single charge.

The EPOD comes with City and Boost driving modes. The City mode is designed for everyday urban operation and efficient energy usage, while Boost mode can provide additional performance when required.
The vehicle also offers a 300 mm water-wading capability, which could be useful for operators travelling through waterlogged or uneven roads, particularly during the monsoon season.
The standard EPOD is priced at ₹3.20 lakh and is primarily aimed at self-employed drivers and small mobility businesses.
The combination of a claimed 227 km range, two drive modes and electric powertrain is intended to make the vehicle suitable for commercial passenger operations. Lower running costs compared with conventional petrol or CNG-powered three-wheelers remain an important consideration in this segment.
The EPOD-Bharat, however, is a limited-edition model and does not represent a replacement for the standard EPOD lineup.
Youdha manufactures the EPOD at its production facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand. The plant has an installed annual production capacity of one lakh vehicles.
The facility features automated assembly lines along with end-of-line testing and quality-control systems. This manufacturing capacity gives Youdha room to scale production as demand for its electric commercial vehicles grows.
Youdha operates across the electric passenger and cargo three-wheeler segments. The company is targeting India's expanding electric commercial vehicle market, particularly applications involving last-mile passenger transportation and urban mobility.
With the EPOD-Bharat, Youdha has combined its existing electric three-wheeler technology with an India-inspired design theme. While the special edition is primarily a limited-run showcase, it highlights the growing role of design and cultural identity alongside technology in India's electric mobility sector.
