Hero Splendor maintained its position as India’s best-selling motorcycle by a substantial margin. The model recorded 3,35,346 units in July 2026, compared with 2,46,715 units during the corresponding month last year.
With an additional 88,631 units, Splendor registered 35.92% YoY growth and alone contributed a significant share of the total volumes generated by the top 10 motorcycles.
Honda Shine retained second place with 1,91,950 units. Its sales increased by 32,292 units compared with July 2025, resulting in 20.23% annual growth.
The gap between the first two motorcycles and the remaining models was substantial, highlighting the continued dominance of Splendor and Shine in the mass-market segment.
The Bajaj Pulsar range occupied third position with 66,156 units. However, sales declined from 79,817 units in July 2025, resulting in a 17.12% YoY drop.
Bajaj is currently refreshing several models across the Pulsar range, and the updated motorcycles could potentially influence sales performance in the coming months.
In contrast, TVS Apache delivered one of the strongest performances in the rankings. Sales climbed from 37,566 units to 59,404 units, representing a substantial 58.13% YoY increase.
The Hero HF Deluxe ranked fifth with 55,978 units. However, its sales fell by 15,499 units compared with the 71,477 units recorded in July 2025. This resulted in a 21.68% decline, making it the biggest percentage loser among the top 10 motorcycles.
Meanwhile, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 continued its strong performance. The motorcycle recorded 39,197 units, up from 26,516 units a year earlier. Its sales increased by 12,681 units, translating to 47.82% YoY growth.
The Classic 350 was followed by the Honda CB Unicorn, which recorded 35,007 units. The model grew by 14.51% compared with its July 2025 sales of 30,572 units.
The TVS Raider remained close to the Unicorn with 34,125 units sold in July 2026.
Compared with 24,511 units in July 2025, Raider sales increased by 9,614 units. This represents 39.22% YoY growth, making it another major growth contributor in the top 10.
The Bajaj Platina ranked ninth with 27,421 units. Its sales declined 6.81% from 29,424 units recorded in the same period last year.
The strongest percentage growth in the top 10 came from the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
Sales rose from 15,847 units in July 2025 to 26,245 units in July 2026. With an increase of 10,398 units, the Bullet 350 registered an impressive 65.61% YoY growth.
Royal Enfield therefore had two motorcycles in the top 10, and both delivered strong year-on-year gains. The Classic 350 grew by nearly 48%, while the Bullet 350 posted growth of more than 65%.
The broader motorcycle market also remained on a strong growth trajectory during July 2026.
Domestic motorcycle sales stood at 10,74,796 units, compared with 8,90,107 units in July 2025. This represents an increase of 1,84,689 units or 20.75% YoY.
Exports performed even better, rising from 3,69,747 units to 4,80,013 units, marking 29.82% growth.
When domestic sales and exports are combined, total motorcycle volumes reached 15,54,809 units in July 2026. This was 2,94,955 units higher than the 12,59,854 units recorded in July 2025, resulting in overall growth of 23.41%.
The July sales numbers indicate that India’s motorcycle market maintained strong momentum, with established commuter motorcycles continuing to dominate volumes while models such as the Apache, Classic 350, Raider and Bullet 350 delivered notable year-on-year gains.
