TATA Car Price Hike July 2026

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (TMPV) has announced an increase in prices across its entire passenger vehicle range, covering both internal combustion engine (ICE) models and electric vehicles (EVs). The updated pricing will take effect from July 1, 2026, with hikes of up to 1.5%, varying based on the specific model and variant.

According to the company, the price increase is intended to help mitigate the effects of higher raw material expenses and ongoing inflation. Although Tata Motors has been absorbing a substantial share of these rising costs, it has chosen to transfer a portion of the additional financial burden to customers through this price revision.

Price Hike To Impact ICE And EV Lineup

The price hike will be applicable across Tata Motors’ complete passenger vehicle lineup. The affected range includes ICE-powered models such as the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, Safari, and Sierra. The revision will also extend to Tata’s electric vehicle portfolio, which currently includes the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Curvv EV, Nexon EV, and Harrier EV.

Tata Motors has clarified that the price increase will differ across models and variants. The automaker also reiterated its commitment to offering strong value to customers even after the upcoming revision. Detailed information regarding the revised prices for individual models and variants is expected to be announced in the coming days.

Second Price Revision This Year

The announcement comes amid ongoing cost pressures faced by the automotive industry, including rising raw material prices, increased logistics expenses, and persistent inflation. To cope with these challenges while maintaining business sustainability, many automakers have been implementing periodic price adjustments. For customers planning to purchase a Tata car or SUV, buying before July 1 could be beneficial, as current prices will remain in effect until the revised rates are introduced.

The price hike announcement comes alongside an aggressive product expansion strategy by Tata Motors in 2026. Since the start of the year, the company has introduced several new and updated models, including the Sierra ICE, Harrier Petrol, Safari Petrol, Punch facelift, Punch EV facelift, Tiago facelift, and Tiago EV facelift.

Tata is also gearing up to launch the Sierra EV later this month, which will further bolster its position in India’s fast-growing electric vehicle segment. Additional details on the updated prices for individual models are likely to be shared closer to the July 1 rollout.
