Mahindra car has expanded its lifestyle vehicle portfolio with the global unveiling of the production-ready Scorpio Lifestyler pickup. The new model is based on the Global Pik Up concept showcased in 2023 and is positioned as a modern successor to the Mahindra Scorpio Getaway.
The Scorpio Lifestyler will be produced in India and is expected to reach selected international markets. For India, Mahindra is targeting an April 2027 launch, with the entry price expected to remain below ₹19.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra has presented the Scorpio Lifestyler in three versions — Reef, Trail and Valley. Each variant receives its own exterior theme and accessory package, allowing the pickup to cater to different customer requirements.
The Reef version is aimed at lifestyle-oriented buyers, while the Trail focuses on adventure and off-road use. The Valley variant takes a more practical approach, targeting customers who want a capable pickup for everyday utility.
The Scorpio Lifestyler carries a design that remains close to the original Global Pik Up concept while sharing visual cues with the Scorpio N SUV.
At the front, the pickup features a prominent grille carrying Mahindra's Twin Peaks logo. The headlamps use a conventional layout with integrated LED daytime-running lights, while vertically positioned fog lamps add to the rugged appearance.
A chunky front skid plate, muscular wheel-arch cladding and large alloy wheels further strengthen its off-road character. The pickup also gets substantial side steps and disc brakes on all four wheels.
At the rear, prominent MAHINDRA lettering is integrated into the tailgate. The load bed is designed around the requirements of a mid-size lifestyle pickup, with wheel-arch intrusions taking up some of the available cargo area. Mahindra could also introduce corner steps to make access to the load bed easier.
Mahindra is likely to offer the Scorpio Lifestyler in both single-cab and dual-cab configurations, depending on the market and variant. The single-cab version could focus more on affordability and utility, while the dual-cab model is expected to receive a more premium equipment package.

The Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to use Mahindra's existing powertrain technology, although engine choices could vary between markets.
Potential options include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing up to 200 bhp and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine developing up to 450 Nm of torque.
Both manual and automatic transmissions are expected to be offered, while Mahindra's 4XPLOR four-wheel-drive system could provide the pickup with enhanced off-road capability.
With the Scorpio Lifestyler, Mahindra is entering a relatively underdeveloped lifestyle pickup segment in India. The model combines the rugged appeal of a traditional pickup with the comfort, technology and road presence expected from a modern SUV.
With production planned in India and exports also on the cards, the Scorpio Lifestyler could become an important new product for Mahindra as the company looks to strengthen its presence in both domestic and international markets.
