Hyundai Motor India has introduced a new security feature for the Venue and Venue N Line in the form of a Bluelink Remote Immobiliser. The technology gives owners an additional layer of protection against vehicle theft by allowing them to prevent the car from being restarted remotely through the Hyundai Bluelink smartphone application.
The new feature is available on the ccNC-equipped Venue HX10 and Venue N Line N10 variants. Eligible vehicles sold since November 2025 are being upgraded through a Controller Over-the-Air (C-OTA) update, meaning customers do not need to visit a workshop to receive the feature.
The Remote Immobiliser is designed to give owners greater control over their vehicle's security. Once the car is parked and switched off, the owner can activate the immobiliser through the Bluelink app.
After activation, the vehicle cannot be restarted until the immobiliser is deactivated. This provides an additional layer of protection if an unauthorised person attempts to use the vehicle.
The feature can be particularly useful in situations where the owner suspects that someone may have access to the vehicle or its key. Hyundai's Bluelink system also supports vehicle tracking and other connected security functions.
The new remote immobiliser is currently linked to the connected-car technology available on specific higher-spec variants.

The feature is being offered to eligible vehicles that already have the required connected-car hardware and software architecture.
One of the major advantages of the new feature is that eligible existing vehicles can receive it through an over-the-air software update.
This means owners do not have to take their Venue or Venue N Line to a Hyundai dealership specifically for the installation. The feature can be enabled through the vehicle's connected technology infrastructure.
From September 2026, eligible new vehicles are expected to receive the feature pre-installed from the factory.
Traditional immobilisers are designed to prevent the engine from starting when an incorrect or unauthorised key is detected. Hyundai's new remote system adds another layer by allowing the owner to proactively activate immobilisation through the connected-car application.

The introduction of the Remote Immobiliser highlights how connected-car technology is increasingly being used for security rather than just convenience.
Instead of relying entirely on physical keys and conventional anti-theft systems, connected vehicles can now allow owners to interact with important security functions through their smartphones.
