Hyundai Motor India has introduced a new security feature for the Venue and Venue N Line that allows owners to remotely immobilise their parked vehicle using the Hyundai Bluelink app. The feature is being rolled out through a Controller Over-the-Air (C-OTA) software update, eliminating the need for a workshop visit.

Hyundai Venue Remote Immobiliser: What Is It?

The new Bluelink Remote Immobiliser is designed to add an extra layer of protection against vehicle theft. Once the vehicle is parked and the immobiliser is activated through the Bluelink app, the car cannot be restarted without authorisation.

This is particularly useful in situations where an unauthorised person has access to the vehicle or a duplicate key. Hyundai says the system is intended to provide quicker control over the vehicle in theft-related situations.

Which Hyundai Venue Variants Get the Feature?

The remote immobiliser is available on the ccNC-equipped Venue HX10 and Venue N Line N10 variants. Existing eligible vehicles sold since November 2025 will receive the feature through the OTA update. From September 2026, compatible new vehicles are expected to get the feature pre-installed from the factory.

How Does the Remote Immobiliser Work?

The feature works through Hyundai's connected-car technology. Owners can activate the immobiliser from the Bluelink app while the vehicle is parked. Once activated, the vehicle is prevented from being restarted until the immobiliser is authorised or disabled.

Hyundai's Bluelink platform also supports other connected features such as stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle notifications, remote vehicle status checks and other remote functions, depending on the variant.
