Hyundai Unveils New Neira Electric MPV at 2026 GIIAS

Hyundai has officially revealed the all-new Neira Electric MPV at the 2026 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), marking another important step in the brand’s expanding electric vehicle portfolio. Designed specifically for Indonesian families, the Neira has been introduced as a seven-seat electric MPV that combines spacious practicality with Hyundai’s latest EV technology.

The vehicle showcased at GIIAS is currently a prototype, giving visitors an early look at Hyundai’s upcoming family-oriented electric model. The company has confirmed that the production version will be manufactured locally in Indonesia at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI).

Modern SUV-Inspired Design

The Hyundai Neira features a bold and contemporary exterior with styling that blends MPV practicality and SUV-inspired elements. At the front, the EV gets sleek LED lighting, a clean closed-off grille design, and sculpted body lines that create a futuristic appearance.

The side profile is highlighted by a long roofline, large glass area, roof rails, conventional door handles, black wheel-arch cladding, and stylish dual-tone alloy wheels. These design elements not only enhance the vehicle's road presence but also improve its practicality for family use.

At the rear, the Neira sports vertically positioned LED tail lamps connected by a slim horizontal light bar, giving it a premium and modern look. A robust rear bumper with silver and black accents further complements its SUV-inspired styling.
