Ducati bikes has revealed the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak with a new racing-inspired livery that draws design inspiration from the company's official MotoGP and World Superbike machines.

The updated motorcycle was unveiled on September 24, 2026, during Ducati's centenary year. The new graphics take inspiration from the Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R race bikes, bringing a stronger motorsport identity to Ducati's performance-focused adventure crossover.

The new livery has been created by Ducati Centro Stile in collaboration with Drudi Performance. Along with the new graphics, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak continues with its performance-oriented chassis, 17-inch front wheel, Öhlins semi-active suspension and powerful V4 engine.

Racing-Inspired Design

The biggest update for the 2027 model is its new exterior treatment.

Ducati has taken visual cues from its factory racing motorcycles, combining colours and graphic elements inspired by its MotoGP and WorldSBK machines.

The new design is intended to reinforce the sporting character of the Pikes Peak while retaining the motorcycle's ability to work as a long-distance touring machine.

The bike also features several premium components that visually separate it from the standard Multistrada range.

1,158cc V4 Engine

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak continues to use Ducati's 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine.

For the 2027 model, the engine produces 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 123.8 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm according to Ducati's specifications. The engine uses a counter-rotating crankshaft derived from Ducati's racing experience to help reduce the gyroscopic effect of the wheels and support more responsive handling.

The engine is paired with Ducati's electronic package and a dedicated Race Riding Mode, which gives the Pikes Peak a more performance-oriented character.

Sportier Chassis Setup

Unlike a conventional adventure motorcycle designed primarily around off-road capability, the Pikes Peak is engineered with a stronger focus on sporty road riding.

One of its defining features is the 17-inch front wheel, which is paired with five-spoke forged aluminium wheels.

The motorcycle uses Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres, with a 120/70 front and 190/55-17 rear setup. The single-sided swingarm remains another distinctive feature of the Pikes Peak version.

The suspension system is an Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active electronic setup. Ducati says its event-based logic continuously adapts the suspension according to the riding situation.

Race Riding Mode

The Pikes Peak gets a dedicated Race Riding Mode, which is one of the features separating it from more touring-focused Multistrada versions.

The Race mode changes the engine's behaviour and rev-limiter strategy to suit more aggressive riding. Ducati has also revised the quickshifter calibration, while High Power Mode provides a more direct throttle response.

Front and rear radar technology is available as standard and supports Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection. Ducati has also introduced Forward Collision Warning as part of the electronic safety package.

The combination of carbon components, forged wheels, Öhlins suspension and titanium exhaust gives the Pikes Peak a specification positioned above the more conventional Multistrada variants.

Touring Ability Remains

Despite its sportier setup, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak has not abandoned its touring-focused characteristics.

The motorcycle retains an ergonomic riding position and the ability to accommodate luggage, making it suitable for longer-distance travel.

When Will the New Livery Be Available?

Ducati's official announcement states that the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is already available at European dealerships, while the new livery is scheduled to become available from March 2027.

Ducati will also offer factory customisation through its Ducati Factory Made programme.
