Mahindra has expanded its Charge_iN public EV charging network to 50 operational locations across India, strengthening the availability of high-speed charging infrastructure for electric vehicle users. The network now has 200 live charging points across the country.
The latest milestone includes a new Charge_iN station at the HP Auto Care Centre in Sajgaon, Pune, on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway. This is the first Charge_iN station to become operational under Mahindra's collaboration with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL).
The partnership between Mahindra and HPCL was announced in March 2026 to develop EV charging infrastructure at HPCL retail outlets across India. Additional locations under the partnership are currently being developed.
Charge_iN stations use 180 kW dual-gun DC fast chargers. According to Mahindra, these chargers can charge its Electric Origin SUVs—including the XEV 9e, BE 6 SPORTEQ and XEV 9S—from 20% to 80% in around 20 minutes under standard test conditions. Actual charging time can vary depending on factors such as battery temperature, state of charge and charger output.
The charging network is not restricted to Mahindra vehicles. EV owners of other brands can also use Charge_iN stations through the Charge_iN by Mahindra app, Me4U and supported charging aggregator platforms.

Mahindra plans to continue expanding Charge_iN across major highway corridors and other strategic locations. The company has set a target of 250 charging stations with approximately 1,000 charging points by December 2027.
The expansion comes as India's electric vehicle market continues to require greater access to reliable public charging infrastructure, particularly on inter-city routes. By combining its own charging network with the HPCL retail outlet network, Mahindra is working to increase the availability of fast-charging locations across key travel corridors.
