Mercedes-Benz India Introduces E25-Compatible Vehicles Supporting India’s Biofuel Initiative

German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz India has started rolling out E25-compatible vehicles as part of India’s growing biofuel adoption initiative. The company confirmed that all Mercedes-Benz cars sold in India from the beginning of this year are compatible with E25 fuel, which contains up to 25% ethanol blend. This move supports the government’s efforts to promote cleaner fuel alternatives and reduce dependence on conventional fuels.

Mercedes-Benz India stated that customer preferences in the country remain diverse, with demand continuing for both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric models. The company will continue offering petrol-powered vehicles while also expanding its electric vehicle portfolio to meet the changing needs of Indian customers.

With the introduction of E25-compatible technology, Mercedes-Benz aims to provide future-ready vehicles that align with India’s sustainability goals while maintaining the performance, luxury, and reliability expected from the brand
