Suzuki has taken another step toward expanding its electric vehicle portfolio, as its upcoming Sky Vision compact electric car has been spotted undergoing road tests in Europe. The new A-segment EV is expected to enter the European market in 2027, where it will compete with affordable urban electric cars such as the Renault Twingo E-Tech, Dacia Spring, FIAT 500 and Leapmotor T03.
The production model is based on the Vision e-Sky concept, which Suzuki first unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show. While the latest prototype remains heavily camouflaged, it already provides a clear indication of the design direction the company is following.
The production-ready Sky Vision retains the compact, boxy proportions showcased by the concept model. Its tallboy silhouette bears some resemblance to Suzuki's WagonR, emphasizing practicality and efficient use of interior space.
Despite the camouflage, several styling elements are visible, including projector headlamps, an upright front fascia, a neatly integrated grille section and a clean bumper design. The side profile features alloy wheels, circular wheel arches, flush-style door handles and a straight beltline that enhances the vehicle's modern appearance.
Unlike the concept, which featured futuristic digital mirrors, the test vehicle uses conventional side mirrors with integrated turn indicators for improved practicality and regulatory compliance.
Suzuki has designed the Sky Vision primarily as an urban commuter, targeting buyers who need a practical electric vehicle for daily office travel, shopping and short weekend trips.
The original concept measured 3,395 mm in length, making it one of the smallest electric cars in its segment. If these dimensions are retained in the production version, the Sky Vision will be noticeably more compact than many of its rivals, offering excellent maneuverability in crowded city environments.
