Bajaj Auto is expanding its Pulsar range with a new technology-focused update for the Pulsar NS400Z, bringing a 5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster to the performance motorcycle.
The updated NS400Z has started appearing at dealerships, with the new display becoming the key highlight of the latest version. The motorcycle continues with its existing 349.13cc liquid-cooled engine and performance-focused mechanical package.
The new Pulsar NS400Z TFT variant is expected around the ₹1.90 lakh price point, although Bajaj's official product information currently lists the NS400Z at different ex-showroom prices depending on the selected location. The company has not yet published a separate official price announcement for the TFT-equipped version.
The most noticeable update to the new Pulsar NS400Z is its 5-inch TFT instrument cluster.
The new screen is designed to offer considerably more information and connected functionality than the earlier console. It supports features such as:
Bluetooth connectivity
Wi-Fi connectivity
Navigation
Call alerts
Music controls
Smartphone notifications
Digital document storage
Google Maps integration through Bajaj's connected application
The TFT system is intended to make the NS400Z more useful for both everyday riding and longer journeys.
The updated motorcycle also gets revised switchgear, allowing riders to access the additional functions offered by the new display.
Despite the technology upgrade, the mechanical package of the Pulsar NS400Z remains focused on performance.
The motorcycle uses a 349.13cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces up to 40.6 PS at 9,000 rpm and 33.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and benefits from ride-by-wire technology.
Bajaj also offers a bi-directional quickshifter, allowing clutchless upshifts and downshifts for a more engaging riding experience.

The Pulsar NS400Z retains its four riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road.
These modes work with the motorcycle's electronic systems to alter the riding characteristics according to road and riding conditions.
The motorcycle also gets switchable traction control, which can help manage wheel spin during acceleration.
This combination of ride modes, traction control and ride-by-wire gives the NS400Z a broader electronic package than a conventional street motorcycle.
The new TFT variant does not bring a major mechanical redesign.
The Pulsar NS400Z continues to use 43mm USD front forks and a rear monoshock. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and uses disc brakes at both ends.
Braking hardware includes a 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS.
The latest NS400Z also features radial tyres and sintered front brake pads as part of its performance-oriented equipment package.
Visually, the Pulsar NS400Z continues with the aggressive styling associated with the NS family.
The motorcycle features:
LED projector headlamps
Signature Lightning Bolt DRLs
Muscular body panels
Sharp tank extensions
USD front forks
Sporty alloy wheels
Carbon-fibre-inspired detailing
Aggressive graphics
The TFT update therefore adds technology without changing the fundamental design identity of the motorcycle.
The new display could make the NS400Z more practical for riders who regularly use their motorcycle for commuting and touring.
Navigation information can be accessed through the connected system, while music and call controls reduce the need to interact directly with a smartphone while riding.
The digital document storage function is another useful addition, allowing important vehicle-related documents to be accessed through the motorcycle's connected interface.
For riders covering longer distances, the navigation functionality could be one of the most meaningful upgrades over the existing console.
The current Pulsar NS400Z has seen pricing changes during 2026 following its move to the 349cc engine.
The addition of the TFT console is expected to bring a modest premium over the existing motorcycle. The new variant has been reported around the ₹1.90 lakh ex-showroom mark, although Bajaj has not yet published a separate official price announcement for the TFT version.
This would position the updated NS400Z as a technology-rich performance motorcycle while keeping it below several larger-capacity premium roadsters.
