BYD car is preparing to expand its Indian portfolio beyond fully electric vehicles. The BYD Sealion 6 plug-in hybrid SUV has been spotted testing on Indian roads, indicating that the company is seriously evaluating the model for the Indian market.
The Sealion 6 had previously been showcased in India at the 2025 Auto Expo, where BYD used the model to gauge interest in a plug-in hybrid SUV. The latest test sightings strengthen speculation that the model could eventually be introduced in India.
